New NESes, ideas, development, etc

I like the prestige-PC dynamic, and I'm intrested in what your doing with the "other political infulences" too

although along with NK, I'm not a 100% onboard with the PC dynamic (quite similar to Sym's action points or...well I have the concept stored somewhere)

I have been thinking about starting a NES for a few weeks now. I'm playing in a few right now but they are all rather slow, much slower than I remember NESes being before. So if I were to start one it would be a quick NES with minimal rules, sort of a cross between a NES and DP's alternative timeline experiment. Is anybody interested, and if so what type of NES would people like: fresh start, historical at some date, alt-hist, etc.?

What althist would it be?

I do not have a particular preference, have any interesting ones to suggest?

das's althist. Someone must do it. It's too good.
Doesn't really lend itself to a longer-term lower-involvement game like Stormy was thinking about, now does it? :p

I'm not sure if it is lower involvement or just different involvement. Fewer stats and rules means the players and I can focus more on diplomacy, writing stories and updates, etc. Could anyone give me a link to das' althistory? The only one I remember is the NeSeR one with a fascist Russia after WWI, and that was a long, long time ago.

I dunno if that's a Stormbringer timeline. Perhaps I should dig around for the Kerensky timeline, something that Shadowbound was thinking about doing last year but never got around to :p

Eurasian War would be another good one.

Possibly, the Kerensky timeline is the one I was talking about Azale. If you do find it, it would definitely help.

Any other ideas from anyone?

Could someone comment my map for general accuracy? (And yes, I know that South Carolina is too big)

If those are Prussia colonies...no, just seriously no. Otherwise things look reasonably in the right place though eastern europe should be refined, mainly as there aren't any other serious changes.

If those grey areas are meant to be 'tribal' then they are seriously wrong too. For starts you have the Dutch power in the east indies the wrong way round - they subdued all the little spice islands in the east from their bases on Java, and then turned their attention to Sumatra and Borneo etc. African internal states didn't look like that at all, and liberia was a tiny strip of land at this point

Ummn, the colors are quite... erratic? I can't find the word. Its a good map, just sort of...hazy.

@sp: That's the Symphony D. Map. If you don't like it, then use the North King map in the Completed Maps Thread. If you don't like either, then make your own. :p

@Supermath: Okay, could you explain what that is exactly? I agree with Disenfrancised on this, so you better not tell me those are Prussian colonies. :p

They're supposed to be 'tribal'. The light grey doesn't really work on that map.

EDIT: Oh, and redid Dutch East Indies.

No, I was speaking in reference to Supermath's map.

I see. But could you make the colors a bit lighter?
