NHL CFC Playoffs Pool III

I just had a look at the table with the picks: Did Kraznaya actually bet on Pittsburgh in the series betwenn Nashwille and the Sharks? :crazyeye:

Well, Pittsburgh has a better chance to win that series than its own series...

He actually picked SJ in 6. I will change it.

(3)Atlanta 0 @ (6)NY Rangers 6 NYR leads series 3-0
(4)Ottawa 2 @ (5)Pittsburgh 1 OTT leads series 3-1
(4)Vancouver 2 @ (5)Dallas 1 VAN leads series 3-1
(2)Anaheim 1 @ (7)Minnesota 4 ANA leads series 3-1
(1)Detroit 2 @ (8)Calgary 1 DET leads series 2-1

@Johnny - perhaps you were actually predicting how many goals the Thrashers would score :mischief:

It is NYR 7-0! Don't you forget it. :p

That beating was so bad, we should have gotten two wins.

I'm sure this is a time when Pittsburgh fans wish that the NHL seeded its teams based on total points, and not with the ridiculous system they use now.

Nah, we deserve to lose this series. We played terrible in Game 1, Game 2 (despite a win) and Game 3. Game 4 we outplayed the Senators and they still beat us. The post-season is a learning experience, and I don't think anyone can deny that we weren't ready for it, next year will be better, Malkin will be rested (hopefully speaking English), Staal and Crosby will have more experience, we might finally be able to pick up some decent wingers for the 3 above mentioned, and we can tend to our horrible defensemen. My hats off to Ottawa, I rightfully believed that were the most balanced team in the East, though I don't know if that will get them to the Cup. I have no faith in Emery and I don't know why anyone does, we've made him look good this series because Ottawa has always had puck control, any team that can get it 50% of the time or more will break him down.

Atlanta totally deserves the sweep as well, I live here (recently moved, never a Thrashers fan) and the city was semi-excited about getting in the playoffs, I hope this experience doesn't ruin it for them.

The only thing I would change about the playoff format is the guaranteed 1-3 slots going to division leaders. I think they should be guaranteed a slot, but not the first 3 seeds (not that that would change the 4-5 slot match up between Pittsburgh and Ottawa this season)

Go Pittsburgh!

Sweep! Bow before the powerful New York Rangers and we might spare you!

And wait for NJ to sweep you yet again

I sort of want the Lightning to beat the Devils now so that the Sens will face the Rangers instead of the Devils and get an easier matchup.

Atlanta 2 @ NY Rangers 4 NYR wins series 4-0
New Jersey 4 @ Tampa Bay 3 (OT) Series tied 2-2
Buffalo 4 @ NY Islanders 2 BUF leads series 3-1
Nashville 2 @ San Jose 3 SJ leads series 3-1

How do I have PIT in 7 in the Sharks/Preds series? :crazyeye:

Like how we just got beat by Atlanta? Didn't most of you predict that? ;)

I didn't! :yeah:

Drewcifer was closest though. He said in 5.

I just noticed an error. This has me with NAS 7, but I said SJ 7.

Changed it at home.

BTW, I will be in England from April 22 to April 28.

I don't know if I'll have easy access to an internet connection (I'm sure I will), so if somebody can have a go at administering the second round, that would make my life easier.
