I'm pre-denominational, where do I fit?

Born in to a catholic family, at 13 I decided I hate christianity and became an athiest. In my later teens my intrest for paganism has increased and today I consider myself a cultural pagan ( I don't actually believe in the myths, I see them more as moral guidelines)

Roman Catholic! O YEA!

Roman Catholic that takes pleasure in how the current youth minister's writings imply that Christ is of the Arian type and that Christ's nature is similar to Monophystitism.

You need to bring this up to the bishop ASAP

Protestant (other) apostate. We were the 'pray in tongues, God does miracles at revival meetings' type. I don't really know the name of that brand, though.

ex-Pentecostal. Left the sect and religion at the same time.

BTW: Why isn't Pentecostalism on the list? (I'm NOT Pentecostal but they're a fairly major denomination.)

BTW: I'm not really sure where I "Fit." I attend a Baptist Church, and I accept the Baptist doctrine of Believer's Baptism (And I don't fit at all with the Pentecostal Church) so that probably sounds "About right" as far as a place for me, and I do like my Church. But it is far from perfect, and I don't really say "I'm a Baptist." I don't really call myself that. I think calling myself "Protestant" is inaccurate since the original Protestants (Zwingli, Calvin, Luther, exc.) accepted Infant Baptism, and since I don't I feel its improper those of a credobaptist mindset are considered "Protestant" when historically they were a separate group. So I just voted "Other" with the assumption being that "Other" was referring to Other Christian groups. I'm just a Christian. No specific title. Though I attend a Conservative Baptist Church, have a reformed pastor, some reformed leanings and some Arminian leanings, an

You're Catholic, bro.

There are 23 flavors of Catholic, bro.

You still are one of those 23.

The Bishop is a reactionary old fart who sent out DVD's detailing why gay sex is sinful at the same time he has to close down neighborhood churches because of a budget crisis and over 50% of the Bishop's Appeal goes to funding private schools.

Let him deal with the heresy. I take great pleasure in it and hope that eventualy Catholicism can ditch its slide toward Protestant Fundamentalism and acknowledge the pathetic state of parishoner knowledge of the actual teachings of the Church.

eww, Pentecostals...

Ajidica, he needs to know that there is heresy going on to stop it, and yes parishioner knowledge has become pathetic.

Not as bad as 'speaking in tounges' Evangelicals.

Why should I? Even if I felt the need to stop my lols, it would reflect badly on the priest who I like. The only reason he was hired was because he will work for cheap.

The priest might not even know he is teaching error. You could bring it up to him first.

Nah, he knows. The Youth minister doesn't really do any actual teaching, that is for the faith formation leaders. All the youth minister does is organize events, do some coordination, and other stuff. It is more bureaucrat then anything else. The whole reason I even know of his abject failure to understand the difference between Catholicism and Arian/Monophysite leanings is that he decided to write a short column in the weekly bulletin. The most recent was his urging of youth to speak the word Jesus so they understand the power of it and can become closer to God by saying Jesus.

He'd love me then! Not only do young people often shout "Jesus" at me (something to do with my hair and crap beard I think), I also say "Jesus!" quite a lot too.
