Normally I'd be at least a little embarassed about this, but considering that of the 28 distinct queries you sent me, 22 were about projections of next turn rather than this one, I'm not sorry at all. Anyway, I've answered it all as best I can.

Regarding the NPC diplo, I'm not sure how that got past me the first time, but my official response is this. Thlayli's last orders hold to the moment of the update, and the rebels are not backing down as of the end of 2150. The resolve of the common rebel is clearly breaking in the face of the overwhelming odds, however, so take that as you will.

OOC: Knowing where you're going is rather necessary to the act of deliberately getting there. I can essentially take the derivative of the final result for any point in between--thus knowing where I end up is in fact rather critical to this turn, unless you want me to demand data for discrete time intervals instead.

Oh, I'm well aware that you're most likely going to use those projections to provide reasonable guidelines for how your development will progress continuously over the course of the update, saving me twice as much time in the final updating of the stats, but I reserve the right to grumble about having some of my mod workload shifted from the indefinite post-deadline period to the limited pre-deadline period.

A hero of the People's Liberation War and a slayer of the imperialist Jiang Jieshi, Hua Guofeng again saved the People's Revolution thirty years later from the reactionary Gang of Four. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of the people for eternity through the dedication of planet 009-108B in his honor.
The rocky surface appears unkind to the untrained eye, but to those loyal towards the cause of the revolution, it is much clearer. The planet is scorched by it's sun, much as the laborer is scorched by blistering summers, but just as the laborer labors without fail, so does the planet revolve and turn without fail. The planet appears to the foreign observer devoid of life supporting mechanisms, much as China appeared to those same foreigners devoid of the mechanisms necessary for vigorous revolution. Now, as then, the outside observers will be proved wrong.



009-108E is hereby retitled Zemin

The reformer and builder of a stronger China in the school of thought of Deng Xiaoping, it is only right that the planet that bears his name lay in the system of his mentor. Jiang Zemin lead the ascendency of the People's Republic as it is today, powerful and unchallenged in the unity and industriousness of it's people.
The heavenly body now holding his name is an allegory to the strength of the industrial worker, whom Zemin toiled selflessly for. This planet appears to be frigid on first glance, yet upon deeper inspection there is found to be an immensely intense flame at it's core. Much the same, the individual worker is said to be cold and mechanical on the outside, but within every worker burns a desire to further the great People's Paradise and work beyond his or her quota.

Random thought that occurred to me - did we (the PRC) have an alphabet reform to switch to pinyin at some point? Because it seems likely on one hand, but I don't think we ever focused on those details, and if this hasn't happened yet this might be nice to implement in the near future - probably next update, though, as I have already sent orders.
