The only time I think it makes sense to say delta is when referring to delta-V

The ranting about the title only lasted two pages.

@Mise: Delta is something you cannot apply, say, to Tottenham Hotspur's standing in the table relative to Arsenal's. Neither is change, for that matter.

@Dachs: Dress socks? Eh?

Forever in our shadow.

FWIW I'm cool with things like "delta-v" etc, because how else do you read "Δv" aloud? That's makes perfect sense. But people are literally using it as a word, in place of "change". It's bloody annoying. I've seen it on the internet too, where people write out "delta" instead of "change". If I see it again I'll post it here :mad:

Well, I suppose you could read Δv aloud as "change in velocity", but I grant you that it would almost never be useful to do so.

Hey guys, I'm noticing a serious delta in Mise's behavior right now. It's off the delta charts.

You were delta severe blow there, Mise. You barely nu what hit you. :p

I'm assuming that you're punning on one of Bowie's tracks?

That's how he broke my heart. One does not simply deface a Bowie song. [pissed]

:ack: If you're going to make a scene, at least do it over some music worth listening to.

At least you don't have to get up early every Caturday.
