BTW is "fuddle-duddle" some kind of an expression? If so what does it mean?

On the submarine we had what we called "the two minute rule." If you walked up on a conversation you had to wait at least two minutes before asking a question that would force the rest of the participants to backtrack over stuff they had just covered before you walked up. Usually the punishment was minimal, like everyone groaning and saying "c'mon dude, two minute rule," but at one point a severe repeat violator did get taped to a support structure and left there until he wet his pants.

Have you looked into improving your intestinal biome in a serious way? IIRC Boots or The Jay has been paying attention to this.

Pre- and probiotics might help, but that's a gamble.
If you mean feces transplantation: This is not a DIY thing ;).
If Synsensa has chronic bowel complaints, then he needs to see a doctor, if it's maybe IBS or so. Then he could get enrolled in a trial for feces transplantation, but success rates are in general low and comparable to placebos (40%).
(it works tremendously for Clostridium difficile infection, but that's a totally different beast)

Sadly we understand relatively little what's going on down there :/.

I once googled DIY feces transplants out of morbid curiosity. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good blender. :yuck:

Depends on if it works or not, but if you do it yourself, there's a lower chance that'll work. Or that you need it. As usual: See a doctor.

And since there got a post deleted: You don't know, there's some chance a FMT might work for you.
If the local university has a program, then they also might have exemptions for palliative care, where you would maybe be suitable for.
(saying that because my old university hospital had)

Surviving Mars has started crashing every five minutes and the error logs are blank. I reduced my autosave to triggering every sol instead of every five but this had only a marginal effect. It usually crashes after 15 to 20 hours of the day.

Rant: Out of coins for the washing machine in the building. It's a bit difficult to get change because a lot of local places have stopped taking cash. There's a coin machine in one of the grocery stores but they want like 15% for it and it doesn't even have coins half the time.
Maybe a bank would help you out (under the circumstances they would hopefully do this as a helpful service even if you don't have an account there).

Fortunately I don't have this problem since our laundry machines operate on electronic keycards. I just have to transfer funds from my bank account to the laundry card every so often, using a machine that only works for laundry (it's not a regular ATM).

I was able to track down some coins so the laundry is done now. :)

Rant: My fever returned for a short while. But I just checked again and it's normal. I'm not sure if I misread the thermometer earlier or something. I don't feel too good today though.

When I woke up and open my laptop, the text look so blurred, so hard for me to read, it seems it is time for me to wear eye-glasses.

Looking from afar, lots of solidarity among the people and the government, solidarity is not something so surprising coming from Turk after living 5 years over-there, hate them or love them the government handle it quite good than most other in my view.

indeed , you will get arrested over creating a panic with any claims of disaster , now that Health is a speciality that New Turkey brags a lot about . Indeed you will never hear about anything .

My landlord announced their aid package. They are going to let some renters who are laid off defer up to half of their monthly rent for up to 6 months. So if you paid half of your rent in April, you'd have until October to pay that back, interest free. They are not giving this aid to renters that are month-to-month, which I guess means they are trying to force people into long duration leases with this crisis.

It's better than nothing but it's kind of pathetic to be honest. Or am I off on that assessment?

They would be hard pressed to make a long term offer to people on a month to month rental agreement, because it would effectively incentivize those people to move rather than pay.

That said, the program itself is probably mortally flawed because how many people really can afford to pay 150% of their rent ever? Paid half in April during the crisis, but even if everything is back to normal in October could you pay October rent plus half of April's?

I imagine a lot of the people who are laid-off will have trouble finding jobs as good as their old ones, which makes the deferrals even worse

Are their paychecks being deferred or are they not happening at all? The same answer must apply to their rent and mortgages.

Rant: Parkinson's symptoms get worse at a certain time of the month. (I actually looked it up and it's a thing.)

From the perspective of the economy as a whole, it seems like a very good way to ensure that the collapse in consumer demand outlasts the pandemic by months or even years.

Small rant: When trying to PM someone a link that contains a naughty word, CFC's autocensor broke the link.
