Random Rants XIX: Failure Tactics

My hair gets mostly dry fairly quickly, but there's a bit a dampness that takes longer to dry. I'm not going outside in near freezing temperatures with damp hair.

I'm just getting tired of waiting. I had to wait for a shower until there was hot water. Then I had to wait for my hair to dry (almost there). I just want to get outside and play with my camera already.

It's not summer, it's winter fall spring. The solstice is in a week or so. :p

I spent all day doing my accounting project that's due monday, and I emailed the professor because he said he would give us the final balances for a couple accounts to make sure we do it right...

Long story short, my books are balanced, but my cash is about $840 too high, and a couple other accounts are probably out of whack as a consequence.

So now I get to spend most of tomorrow looking for that dang ol' difference. I'm so glad I get winter break in less than a week (THURSDAY!)

What I did when I got the professor's email:
:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::badcomp::cry::cry::cry::wallbash::wallbash:
In that order...

Hey, good luck with that. I'm sure you'll do fine.

I am not expecting too much.

I'll just go to the local IGA in the morning. Heh, beer for breakfast...

(Actually, it's not an IGA. It used to be one. It sells drinks, that's all that matters)

You could live in denial for a while, see what it's like. The tension will kill you so much you won't mind what your results are, so long as you can uncross your legs.

If you do slightly worse than you thought and hell if you don't get your first choice don't fret. Its not really all that big a deal. You do the first year (or even term) somewhere else, put the axe to the grindstone and hit the books and then transfer out when you get your marks in. Typically, the first semester is full of classes designed to ensure that you 'adapt' which is a polite euphemism for making sure you really want to be there. I think you will find that nobody really cares what your high school marks were and if they do, I would suggest ignoring them, the measure of the man is not cut from that fabric.

You see, now when he does get good marks, they won't be nearly as pleasing as they otherwise would've been. :p

Personally, if I get good marks, I'd be quite happy to live in the fantasy land of 'your HSC marks are the most important thing in your entire life'.

Well you know how I was complaining about there being too many people in my house (partying)- Well it stands to reason that four days on I'll be complaining about just how quite it is here. Half the housemates have gone home for Christmas, and the other half have just found something more interesting to do. I'm stuck here until Tuesday and have no idea what to do with myself- apart from taking my laptop into the living room to rant on here while watching Charlie and the Chocolate factory in ITV2... What a Smash!!

What do you mean isolated-ated-ated-ated...
