Yeah, youtube is increasing it's suck factor faster than Obama broke campaign promises. Logging in really isn't a great choice for me, though, as I have a lot of subscribed channels that I like to keep up on.

Unfortunately the IT sectors always suffered from a lack of skilled workforce so they have to throw belgian interns at their problems to close the gaps and then problems start multiplying until the experts come in.

Yep,
When I took an overnight train from Lviv to Minsk we were put in a bunch of old Soviet cars that, while well maintained, were very dated and lacked flush toilets. (Plus, the bathroom smell nasty, a byproduct of trying to piss on a rocking train.)

Found out tonight that my only RL friend, who is otherwise totally liberal, is a 2nd amendment rights fanatic and wants to buy a gun and a permit for it.

God. Bleeping. Damn it.

Considering my crappy psychological and emotional state, I *really* do not want to have to cut him out of my life *again* (after having previously had to cut off contact *four times* after dealing with shenanigans him and my former roommate were up to.), just to keep the Life Police at bay.

Of course, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" and all that.

Meh, maybe. But I'm not really a fan of either communism or the vast majority of music, and my musical tastes are... different.

And I also don't think it's a good idea for him either as he also suffers from major depression, enough for him to require seeing a psychologist.

Why is someone with that level of depression even allowed to obtain a gun in the first place? Pretty much for the reasons that you mentioned, that seems like a bad idea.
