Man, universities just eat money. Next semester the university is switching the electronic attendance system (PRS clickers, personal response something, is what we use now) to a different vendor/clicker system.

Basically, classes that take attendance (Well, large classes) will often use these electronic clickers. Which the PRS one cost like 40 dollars at the bookstore, which isn't too bad if you use it for multiple classes. But I've gotten most of the "big lecture" classes out of the way yet will probably have to buy the new one for one random class.

Rant: I spent 30 minutes watching the first episode of Tales of Tomorrow. Those were the worst spent 30 minutes of my life. The plot was worthless, (Man discovers a machine that transmits major events to aliens; aliens invade Earth. The end.) and you couldn't find something cornier than that show in a 20 acre field of corn.

When I was at university, nobody took attendance. You came to class if you wanted to learn, and you didn't come to class if you preferred to do drugs and play outside.

Well some classes try to encourage class attendance by making it 5% or so. Anyways, you put a question up, give people a minute to answer; you just need to register your student ID to the clicker thing and enter your answer.

So the software will easily record all the student IDs that sent responses, so there's class attendance.

It's for the mass lectures typically and not everyone uses it.

I was about to teach this dude a lesson because he was antagonizing me with his hostile words, so this dude started to antagonize me even more because he thought that I had something against him. He got so into it, saying that he was going to beat me up and such, but man was he surprised to find out that it wasn't anything like that.

It's not that hard if you break it down and parse it, dude.

I was about to beat the heck out of this guy yesterday. Yeah, so he was trash talking and thought I had a grudge with him. So he was basically talking trash and saying he was going to beat me up but he [Something, I don't know. Maybe walked away?] left, yeah.

I'm not sure what "punked" means. According to Urbandictionary.comm it means "allowing to let yourself be walked on to avoid confrontation." Going off of that, it sounds like he let the "Mr. N" (I'm calling him that so that you can tell who it is) continue to talk about beating up the writer up so that he could avoid getting into a fight.

Rant: I really hate it when people post song lyrics as part of a discussion. Most of the time the lyrics have less to do with what's going on than the poster thinks they do, and even if they do they're usually not funny. It's like people who have a song stuck in their head think other people can hear the same music as them when they paste the lyrics, but they don't and the lyrics just look stupid on their own.
