Things I love about South Korea:

Public toilets can be used without a reasonable chance of rape.
Buildings have two lifts, one for odd and one for even floors.
Blatant sexual attraction bias in a lot of women towards white men.
The trains run on time.
Its clean. Everywhere.
Theres no knackers/scumbags/chavs/"ghetto folk". NONE.
Ridiculously cheap alcohol, 24/7. (Which combines well with the previous point; yes I know I'm being very middle class but I don't care.)
The national obsession with umbrellas, rain boots.

I'm also trying to play the cards right with this girl. We met this year in English class and we've taken off, but nothing romantic yet. Lately she's been inviting me to several events and the most recent was a hike with just me and her. We've also, as with the above, starting texting pretty extensively. But there's always the possibility of being friend-zoned (since most of what we've done together has been academic, not romantic). So is there something or is there not something?

I'm cautiously thinking there is something.

Finished the bridge climb with my siss . Spectacular . Not a cloud in the sky and the first non freezing day in ages . I don't often get surges of patriotic fervor (outside of sporting events) , but looking out over Sydney harbor at the Opera House and the boats reminded me of how lucky I am living here .

After that , dropped into Luna Park and rode some rides . They were a bit lame but there were a few cool ones that had me tumbling upside down and around etc . It actually really takes it out of you . I'm buggered now l
