Random Raves XXI: The Server is Working

Have you ever tried giving someone a chocolate bonbon filled with salt?

I find all of Valve's endings to be fun, but not really hard. I like that, Valve games are the only games I ever am able to finish.

Something interesting I found about the Portal games, is that they tend to tutorial you as you go along and oftentimes you don't even realize it until afterwards. I mean they show you one puzzle that requires using a certain element and then that shows you how the element works. And then it shows up in later ones, albeit more complex. But it never feels like they are shoving it in your face. It may be just me though.

Anyways one thing that made me really laugh in the sequel at the beginning is when Wheatley asks you to speak. The pop-up tutorial says to use the spacebar to do so, but the spacebar actually makes you jump, and you do jump, and he comments on that.

EDIT: Actually, I forgot to mention this, but I'm actually posting updates on the game as I go along -- sort of like a let's play, but with screenshots rather than video. Anyways, if youd like to see that, PM me and I will send a link. But I wont post here.

I got to the part in Portal 2 where you're supposed to sabotage the turret line. I grabbed a defective turret and jammed it in the manufacturing line. If the dialogue is anything to go by, I don't think that's what you were supposed to do.

Aimee crashed the game! :p

Well I did have to reload because it eventually slowed down to a crawl. (Surprisingly, I'm able to play this game very easily on high resolution and graphic settings.) I have to admit it was funny though.

aimee, you better do the crowless route like all the cool kids (me) do.

I figured this part out.

Spoiler In case you havent figured out the game :
You're supposed to put a defective turret in the quality assurance scanner, not jam it onto the manufacturing line.

Spoiler :
There might be something else you can put in the scanner as well . . .

Spoiler :
Well I tried putting myself in there but it didn't work.

Spoiler :
Really? I could have sworn there was an achievement for doing just that. Maybe it's just a PC version thing - are you playing on a console?

Oh, yeah, I did get an achievement, but it still didn't jam up the line or anything.

Anyways Im now at the point involving the core transfer. Although I was actually pretty spoiled for the game it was still surprising what happened there.

Also that autotuned scream ... that was terrifying.
