Random Raves XXI: The Server is Working

Why a trick question?

Portal.

If it's not Portal I quit. I quit life.

How did you guess so easily.

Anyways I'm partway through the sequel and although I'm quite lousy at it (shaky hands are not good) it's really quite fun.

I thought it was Portal too. :)

Yes now please dont make fun of me for being slow to catch on. I'm slow anyways. Ive been playing the sequel for 10 hours and still havent gotten past Chapter 2 of a 9-chapter game.

It took me three hours to complete Portal the first time and Portal 2 is a much harder game. :)

I keep falling into the stupid toxic water stuff. Also shaky hands make it a little difficult to place portals right.

Here's another funny thing that happened in the sequel. At one point when you're going to grab a cube, Wheatley pops through the wall. I accidentally grabbed him instead of the cube and just to see what would happen, I dropped him on the button instead of the cube. It didn't work.

Then I went to take him with me. He didn't get fizzled by the emancipation grill thing but then I hit the wrong key and accidentally dropped him down the elevator shaft. Whoops.

EDIT: Actually the first time I did this I knocked down a camera (that's always fun) and dropped that on the button. It didn't work, either. And then I forgot to save the game and had to do that testchamber again.

I could only think of one game that fit that description, so given what day it was I thought you may have found some obscure other game. That's why I thought it was a trick question.

Anyways, both games took me a while to beat, so don't be discouraged.

I still haven't beaten Portal, oddly.

Sunk about two or more hours into it and got stuck somewhere. Not even a puzzle section, just pathfinding

Also I was lurking around the internet and I found this and thought it was pretty hilarious from 1:51 to 3:04

I've beaten it up to the fight with Glados. Never could get past her. I ought to try it with a proper mouse rather than a finger-pad.

I find all of Valve's endings to be fun, but not really hard. I like that, Valve games are the only games I ever am able to finish.

I don't want to preempt things or get ahead of myself, but these are some good conversations I'm having with someone that I hope can develop into something more.

I pulled a great joke on my family yesterday. Salt in the sugar shaker. :mwaha:
