How is Metro 2033? It looks cool, but I couldn't tell how much was RPG and how much was FPS.

It's not an RPG in any sense, really. You have money and can buy things and find things through the tunnels but it doesn't make it an RPG game. It's just a very tense, atmospheric first person shooter.

Rave: Apparently God has blessed my car with self-healing properties, because the door that wouldn't open from the outside before now does once again, with no repairs even attempted.

You know, nobody actually says "but everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked."

The quote from the intro is "...Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked."
Actually, it is “but that all changed when the fire nation attacked”

Rave: My poison ivy is drying up, except for a few leftover blisters...hopefully will heal a lot more tonight and maybe be fully healed by next week.

Yeah, as Salty said there are no RPG elements in Metro 2033, the only thing shared with Fallout is a similar-ish setting. It's a straight, linear, story based game.

But it is still a ton of fun!

That was only in one episode, which Dachs already pointed out. The rest of the episodes had "Then, everything changed when the fire nation attacked"

It appears to me that these kids wanted to follow a meme but they then took an arrow to the knee.

Why dont we just all have cake.

The cake is a lie.

No it isnt. You just cant get to it. Unless you noclip or glitch.

In the second game, it is (GLaDOS Emergency Shutdown and Cake Dispensary, anyone?)

The Cake is a lie! Don't believe that computer!

I used to care. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.

Rave: While I was at the library I noticed they had the Battle of Algiers on DVD, so I borrowed it.

Had you seen that movie before? It's excellent.

Nah, I went out to the parking lot and had some fun with old impulse 101 before going to have some cake.

Don't be so evil, aimee. Think of the poor Cube!

He was trying to steal my cake.

Cool. If I see it for sale on Steam at a good price (and I haven't spent all my money on XCOM and Magic) I'll pick it up.

Never seen it before. Robert Fisk talked about it alot in The Great War for Civilization and I've been meaning to see it.
On a completely unrelated note, have you read The Great War for Civilization? The impression I have gotten from it is that although Fisk's reporting and commentary is excellent, his historical knowledge is rather iffy (espcially with regards to Mossadeq). I'd be interested in seeing if that holds up.

Took over 500 pictures today at the local fair, hopefully some will be usable. Some previos photos from yesterday were published in the paper :)

Met two other bronies (one all the way from NJ) at the fair as well, and watched a demolition derby. Several cars got holes punched in them and started venting extra exhaust or leaking water/oil/gas. The track caught on fire from one of the leaks + a car flaming under the hood.

Also found a $50 coupon under my seat for a business my mom uses, so she's happy.
