I don't know if this is a rave or a rant, but a large number of people I know are getting good jobs and are moving away. So yay for my friends stacking paper, but it's really hard to hang out with people scattered across the US.

Indeed. On a high point you can always have them download LoL and yell at each other over Skype while drinking/playing. Enjoy that phase while it lasts - it starts ending when they start cranking out kids.

We made it safely to New York!

We flew from Manchester to Heathrow then to JFK which meant going through airport security twice though it went quite smoothly. Getting through US border control was quicker than I expected.

The weather was great when we arrived on Monday. Yesterday was not so good, we got a bit wet on the open top bus tour But at least we did the bus tour before the rain got worse.

Today we go back to JFK to pick up the car (I'm not driving in New York it's insane) and head south.
