Prime Video has started putting ads for other Prime shows between every episode, with no way to turn the "feature" off.
If they follow Netflix time, it'll take two or three years for them to get a clue.

Back when Hulu was free, the most annoying thing for me was when during a four-ad commercial break, they ran the exact same ad four times in a row!
Huh, you're right, we haven't. Most people posting now weren't around for "They stoled my camera and pants", downtown, or Poland in North Africa.

I wasn't around for "they stoled my pants", but know of it. I don't know what the radioactive monkeys thing is. Though apparently @Takhisis referenced it in that 3-word-post thread a few months ago and I just didn't get it was a reference/meme.
The @downtown poll options died off in something like 2015? "This will hurt Obama politically" probably died off around when Obama left office.
I think I've seen "Poland in North Africa" stuff for the entire ~10 years I've been here (on and off), though I always thought that was just a Polandball reference. Was it not?
My entire submarines thread was basically a silly, oblique effort at a meme because there was a point where we had a thread about subscriptions, subway systems, and sub sandwiches at one time. But I think only El Mac noticed.

There were a whole bunch of "Is Poland Eastern, Central, or Western Europe" threads when Civ5 added Poland, and the mods, in their infinite wisdom, exiled all those threads to OT. To my knowledge it was never a Polandball reference.
The "What part of Europe is Poland in" threads date back several years longer than that, I think to the days of Civ 4, when fans wanted more Eastern European civilizations added in the expansions, and we got.... The Holy Roman Empire.
But it definitely predates Civ 5, there's some jokes about it in the first few pages of DYOS 11 way back in August 2009 (months before Civ 5 was even announced), and I definitely remember it being a point of constant argument in OT well before that. The earliest thread I can find explicitly about what geographical location Poland is in is https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/is-poland-eastern-european.298562/, in November 2008, but the Poland stuff was definitely big from like 2008-2011 or so.

I'm doing a rewatch so this isn't a problem for me, but if this were a first-time watch it'd definitely be aggravating. All the ads are for the last season.
