Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 24th of February 2014

I'm playing a giant map using the next size map dimensions, quite a few times I am getting the old MAF happening and some CTD that are not repeatable. Are these known issues guys with V34?
 
In that Game the Culture Rate of one City overflows not the Level. At the moment i have no idea where this is happening.

Yeah it's the rate. Thebes in the savegame.
It's the second time I managed to do this. I just have one city building most of the wonders, simulating semi-one city challenge.

I also have lots of great military instructors. Last game I mined them all over the map (from the AI), this time I saved myself the time and just got them from world builder, but the number is about the same.

BTW, I also managed to overflow population sacrifice for the fish market wonder, I can check if I have a savegame for it if it's interesting.

BTW, the rate was around 200K a turn before the overflow. I estimate that it would easily go over 500K later in the game, maybe over 1M.

~21M cap sounds legit, however I wasn't anywhere near that in the game-save.
If you look at the values there, they don't add up to that. My rate of culture was around 200K. Is it possible that by some mistake the cap decreased by 10,000 instead of 100 (from MAX_INT)?
I was wondering if it had something to do with something along those lines but I'll have to eventually take a deeper look into the code (and your save) to be sure. I'm very distracted away from this sort of debugging so I can't give a near ETD on that.

I have given it to one of my Master Hunter line of units but I can't remember which. The code says all that is needed is that they have Master Hunter I and be of at least level 5.



That is what the pedia is supposed to tell you.

BTW why are promotions that are not valid for the selected game options even showing up? Normally if something is not in the current game it does not show up in the pedia.

edit just checked - the pedia and hover over are not showing the level requirement.
I wondered if Level prereq was being applied there. Clever use of the new tag. Apparently I must've overlooked establishing the text for it... sorry for that. Again... distracted but noted so I'll eventually get that working there for the display.

To answer your question, AIAndy established a precedence a while back of not having the game object disappear from the lists in the pedia when an option that's on is turning it off. It can just alter the display of what the game object means. It does, however, keep the object from being able to come into play.
 
I just got the message that Barbarian has created Tasius. Now, I dont have a problem with the barbarians making heroes per se, but how did they get the Roxolani culture since there is no wonder building for it (among others). Also, Tasisu is currently one of the heroes (along with both Aniu heroes) that dont have their requirements set correctly, str10-12 units in prehistory is a bit broken.

Take a "snip it" or screen shot) of your path so i can see what your doing.

All guild national wonder work randomly. Sometimes, I can see the bonus gold effect, and this effect work, sometimes no. When effect is not displayed, it doesn't work too
Heroic II promotion still give a Golden age when you are already in a golden age

And these automatics worker cant stop building fort on ressource at 1 case of my cities! They are far dumber than before
 
Release version : Bear Knight requires Armored Cavalry and (Bear trainer or Heritage - Bears). But both are obsolete at Armored Cavalry....

They used to upgrade to Cavalry:confused:. Changed the obsolete tech on the buildings to Motorised Transport.

The (my) original aim was to have a full set of each of the alternate mounts to match the horse/elephant/camel lines and you would decide what animal your nation would have as light cavalry, heavy cavalry and work animal. Then over time your resources would change to reflect this. So if you went for zebra as light and Mammoth as heavy with llama as work then your horse resources would be replaced with zebra ones, your elephant with mammoth and your donkey with llama. Your cavalry would not consider other mounts as worthy. You would still need the wonder but it would give much more meaning to them and diversify the nations.

Unfortunately we don't have art for this to work. We did for zebras for awhile but then a whole lot of new units were added.
 
i think i'm getting memory overflow.

in this savegame, i cant do any espionage missions, though i have 1.5kk espionage points.
 
But this art could be done with simply retexturing/reskinning the elephant-/Horse- and Donkey line, couldn't it?

Zebra line is easy to create because there is tons of proper model of horse units (just need to change horse texture to zebra). Other Mega Fauna mod animals is more problematic (maybe except camel) because there is only 1 or 2 models of each animal. Retexturing can help but you cant create Cavalry unit from Bear Rider/Knight for example.

Mammoths can be made from Elephants units (they are now) but this sucks IMO because mammoths should be bigger then elephants. Yea I know that we have model size tag in XML but when we change it then also human rider will be bigger too.

In short - we need skilled 3d specialist in team :)
Especialy with some experience with animations.
 
I just decided to move on and start a new game. Hopefully this one wont go bonkers on me.

I hope this new game does Not have 20+ AI with REV, Barb Civ, Start as Minors turned On and maybe just a Huge map.

Lol I have 10 Ais with rev and barbarian world, on a giant map. Works pretty smoothly, but it crashes every 30 turns or so so no biggie. Until it starts becoming a problem later.........

You should never use Barb World, takes waaay too much memory to play. And i dont understand the crashes, i really think your making that up, otherwise you'd have a lot of minidumps??:crazyeye: I still have not seen your snip it of where you have the C2C file locate at??

Fresh install, C2C is located in beyond the sword mod folder named Caveman2Cosmos.

Besides the above that does NOT exist??? Here are more that was wrong with your Civ you added AKA??? You need to change the schema stuff also, i fixed them already though
 
Fresh install, C2C is located in beyond the sword mod folder named Caveman2Cosmos.

Do you know where the MiniDump.dmp file is located? Do you know that it needs to be compressed with .zip, .rar, or 7z so it can be Uploaded?

If you are CTD ing then there are MiniDumps being created in the Main BtS directory.

Edit: D/L'd your rar file and found Minidump is included.

Edit: Played 1 turn and game CTD'd when going to city with subdued eagle or hawk. Mini dump attached.

2 instances of Non Fatal Warnings:BUILDINGCLASS_FIRE_MYTH and _STONE_MYTH removed. This is a version 7106 build.

When game loads gives the 2 Non Fatal warning, then shifts to western coastal city where a subdued snake is awaiting for what you want to do with it. I selected snake myth usage. Then next city is brought up with an eagle or hawk over the city and then game CTDs before you can make selection.

I strongly suggest updating to SVN version 7138 where this Myth errors have been fixed.
