Single Player bugs and crashes - After the 24th of February 2014

What's an SSD?

Solid State Device. It is a storage disk device you can attach to your computer. Same as your HDD -Hard Disk Device - or C: drive.

But it is much faster on disk access and can improve game play times, if you store game files on it. If I did not have such an old system I would get one, but they cost. Waiting for windows 9.

Ah... then the answer would be no.

Since reaching 0AD I'm back to having CTDs every other turn. This minidump is the 1st one to have more than 0kb in it.

Screenie illustrates a problem separate from the Ctds. Why do Fire Brigades Obsolete Bonfire, Imu, Funeral pyre and the other 2 in the list? That's just not right.

Mini shows crashing in the exe which is suggestive of an art reference issue.

Has the Transport I promo on ships been deactivated? They can't transport units any more, and my Catamaran can't transport missionaries either. So what is it for now?

If it (intentionally) no longer functions at all, can you please make it unavailable to Wooden Ships, so they can pick replacement promos.

No amount of testing could deny the possibility of some bugs in this portion of the game right now.

What I need to know is:
1) Do you have Size Matters On or Off?
2) Are you playing on the CURRENT SVN?

I believe I fixed a bug in this last night but it was a recognition of something being wrong in the code without knowing exactly how it was manifesting a problem or if it actually was.

Transport I requires the unit has some amount of current transport capability. If it does not there are added promos to get the unit started on getting some transport capability properly.

Anyhow, I expected it was possible there could be some funny stuff taking place here. Please provide saves and full explanations of what to investigate in them.

If/when changing maintenance costs, including all the added ones in Civics already so not just my modificatons though they make it more pronounced, the AI can not handle it and keeps putting out cities putting itself in negative income. I suspect this might have been another reason why the Comp feels too easy, after a while it has to go more on gold than science and loses out in the tech race. (also a reason why the AI is easy to catch up with in the tech race after a while even if the AI has 3x or more cities and thus should have more science output).

Can something be done to increase the AI's estimate of costs for putting out new cities to at least accomodate the already increased maintenance costs, and an easy way for people like me to increase this estimation even more (an already modified file in MyMods (unloaded) perhaps that increases it 3x or so, please, pretty please?).

Cheers

seems certain civs build cities no mater their income some are better at it not sure what causes the civs to decide i need 22 cities with monarchy where all the rest with room to grow have 10 to 12. i think it depends on their traits. in my last game 2 civs have over 20 and are monarchy the re4st of the world is hovering around 12 a couple of others have less and their is plenty of growth room still.

V34

-National horse breeder not opening horse trainer option to cities.

- Power figures for nuclear weapons looked very weird in unit infos. Tac nuke had value of 1000, mrbm and irbm had 3 ?!?

Playing as the Hittie (Hatti?) and the Gather Special Stone icon for the Gatherer unit is pink
View attachment 373256

I haven't updated since my previous posting (build 7231) so I don't know if this was one of the 'Missing Icons' what were included in the fixes or not.

Yes, I know. I did something wrong when we updated all the improvements. However no matter how hard I look I can't see why it is pink ie missing. I have even checked for a dyslexia style error by copying and pasting all the folder and file names.

SVN 7250
When my wooden watch towers upgrade to stone watch towers they lose their :culture: so they are no longer within my civs borders. The civopedia says wooden gets +1:culture:, which it does, and stone gets +1:culture:, which it does not.

They do provide :culture: they just forget who they belong to when they upgrade. This is because they are not forts. I think the best option is to not have the towers upgrade when fortified.

If that is the case shouldn't they be taken over by my units when I have them leave and reenter the tower? Because I tried that, and it didn't work.

They are not forts so putting units on them doesn't change ownership in the same way as moving onto a pasture does not change ownership.

edit Latest SVN the forest graphic is wrong. Before it was varied and that included a variation by climate. Now they are all the same.

Size Matters off. I started this save in v29. SVN 7234. This problem was not in 7106, even though the new transport promos were already there then.

Also on 7234, possibly somehow related, my galleons now have 12 cargo spaces, and cogs have 8, so all doubled up. This is also new since 7106.

I'll try to upload a save in the next 24 hours, if you still need one.

Another thing: I noticed when I updated my SVN and did a recalc that the fog-of-war came back. But the next turn it's gone again - almost everything I explored last turn I can still see, even if I'm no longer anywhere near it.

This has been the case for some time.

ETA: And now I notice that all the kelp has disappeared from my map. How the hell can this happen:mad:? This makes 7234 unplayable for me.
