Single Player bugs and crashes v35 plus (SVN) - After the 18th of August 2014

I don't remember the exact tech but once you reach it your specialist are removed for an advanced placement system. You will start to get them back as you play on. I think it's the Tech that starts the Classical Era.

DH added this several months ago (late last year?).

Just continue play and each city will start repopulating the specialists. But not necessarily the same number as you had in the Preh and Ancient eras.

I always thought that specialist came too early in C2C and none should've been generated till Ancient era/Sed Life was researched. But that's just my take on it.

JosEPh

I don't think it was my work.

My opinion is that you should not have any access to any specialists until you research Specialization.

Hi! I still have the same and old problem with sanitize. When i give order to a worker to sanitize a infection smog the game crash. It is a known problem?

That's....terribly confusing.

Latest SVN, a question:

(see attached screenshot)

I have a town hall in my city, which should give me 2 free specialists. Why do I not see those specialists on the right side?

Your education level is so low that you're losing free specialists from that. This effect won't ever put you into a negative specialists amount but you can lose free ones you'd otherwise be getting.

I also strongly disagree that specialists shouldn't be in play until specialization... the concept of someone providing a role in the village is natural to being a human. Wise women, warriors, hunters... there were careers from the beginning because different people have different abilities. Specialization as a tech would represent that it's become recognized that people must do more than perform a role, they must now learn the 'tricks of the trade' to really do so effectively and begin to plan from an earlier age how they will help the tribe rather than just doing whatever they can with whatever abilities they have. It's a matter of preparation and planning to become a person who fills a particular role as opposed to haphazardly falling into whatever you do. This sort of game rule would make the differences in units seem a bit odd too. If you're proposing that specialized behavior only takes place after a particular tech, then all units should be of one type until then as well.

So it's the Education levels that do this. Did not realize that.

As for No specialist before Specialization that might be too much. But... having a free specialist 4 turns into a new game Is impo too early to start having specialists.

In my original argument I reckoned that Specialization was too late, but I am not sure what MrAzure meant in having it there. This is one reason that you should put in a full pedia entry when adding stuff. After all if you can have a Chief's Hut then you must have specialization!

BtW Joe, you were thinking of my previous argument about specialists and that tech. Nothing came of that discussion. So no changes were implemented.

Ah I see!, said the blindman.

Mr. Azure,:shake: in like a flash and gone like a late evening breeze.

after the +1:food: per pop change; barbarian cities cannot grow past population 3.
4 barbarian cities that existed from the start with good terrain are still at pop 3 when I reached the Renaissance.

I've protected an enclave of 4 barb cities on purpose due to my curiosity.

Perhaps they should get more in free bonus somewhere.

Edit: Just remembered a bug: Units with hidden nationality cannot move to tiles where enemy "Spy" units are located. now and again HN units will not be able to move to an empty tile, open world builder and you will notice that it is not really empty as there will be a spy there..

Crashes every time (auto closes to windows) at the start of new turn, tried changing builds that would complete, different techs, reloading older auto saves, but keeps crashing at same spot every time.

Svn: 8464

These sound like in SVN 8464 something didn't get transferred correctly in the ART area, can someone pls check their work there, thx. . .

As far as I can see all the art was merged in properly. Someone may want to check the XML for ls612's culture units and the location of the art files NIF etc, just in case my dyslexia is active.....

I did test the buttons but did not check the actual pedia entry for the units.

Checked all units (including and heroes and animals) and fixed some bugs.

Still crashes in exactly same manner when updated to latest svn

Tech traded to Barbarian (Barbarians): Canaanism

level 3 log with current latest svn, ends with me(no tech brokering and I was one to research it ) trading tech to Barbarians, not sure if that is the cause for crash or something that follows after it, still why are techs traded to barbarians like that?
