Single Player bugs and crashes v35 plus (SVN) - After the 18th of August 2014

As for the Mountain Quarry, I'll spam it on suggestions; am sure people roll their eyes when they see me post there already!
The original designer of the Mountain Mine stated that the purpose was to enable us to make it easier to create a singular graphic object that was more compatible with peaks that would handle both the role of a quarry and a mine (throughout all ages).

Not saying it can't be or isn't flawed - that would come down to the xml and I don't think anyone has acted to improve the graphic as intended (@Toffer... hint hint ;) ) and other types of resources like animal based ones also need some kind of Peak improvement to round out the matter.

It is not a graphic problem, it only works with building Mountain mines. You can not build anything else - no quarries or anything else.

What are you trying to say? I'm missing the message here I think.

There's nothing to miss.
As stated, you can only build mountain mines on mountains.
No quarry or any animal related improvement.

In addition any bonus under a mountain mine does not count as vicinity bonus.

but do the buildings that require stone with a quary in the city area recognize the mountain mine with stone as filling that condition?
and probaly the same for the other resources like copper/iron in combination with mountain mines.

Buildings require stone it does not matter if it comes from a mine, quarry or mountain mine.

The problem you're having I believe may be due to evaluating the situation before Mountaineering makes the tile workable. It's always something that's been planned to be adapted in the code to allow a Peak to be worked if its improved regardless of the tech level but it hasn't been done yet.

Otherwise, DH answered the rest of the situation.

The Druidism religious spread audio also throws screen error messages.

There have been problems with the sounds ever since the decision was made to remove the old sound formats (.wav). I think the exe is using the old format even when you tell it to use the new (.mp3).

The Cannanite Tech icon for when the religion has not been founded has gone missing. As has teh improvement icon for Machu Picchu. This seems to have happened when the new FPKs were made.

The fix I made for the Mountain Mine was incorrect as it allows the Mountain Mine to be built anywhere where any of the resources are.

I am experimenting to find a proper fix.

edit The XML tag to limit it to peaks was not set so I don't know how they are being limited at the moment.

@DH,
Been meaning to ask, if I have elephant or capture an elephant (like African) and I make a herd fromit in a nearby city, then why when I build the Animal trainer building is Elephant not showing up? I can do pigs, donkeys, llamas, aardvarks, hippos, giraffes, lions, panthers, wolf, and some more but no Elephant?

I just expressed that first point was a problem I suspected would lurk there with that 'solution'. This might mean there's a coding issue to resolve it unfortunately.

As for the second... I don't remember. If I recall correctly it WAS set ... I dunno. Maybe having both set properly would do the trick?

I was in the middle of changing all these when RL hit and people insisted I work on the Religions. I'll get back and fix it.

Strangely enough I can build the Tamed Elephant:confused:

It may be because there used to only be one but now there are two African and Asian. EG I may have settled one and you the other.

Bug? Pedia - Subdued Musk Ox can construct Master Hunter? Hmm same on other subdued animals... normal now?

I think it has always been normal. As specific subdued animals were the only way to construct the master hunter before great generals/hunters got the ability to create the hunter tradition national wonder.

Yes but the link is going to the master hunter unit? Should be a building? So how you can build a master hunter unit with the animal? ... Ok i checked, yes maybe bug the link in the animal pedia is going to the master hunter unit, but should go to the master hunter building.

Yes is a link bug in the pedia.

If two things have the same name the pedia will be confused. It is essential that the names of buildings are different to the names of units and improvements etc. Yes it is language specific.

I have no idea why the programmers went with the localization for the links rather than the TXT_KEY_ identifier.
