Single Player bugs and crashes v37 plus (SVN) - After the 24th of December 2016

I also wanted to bring up slower game speeds where bears still reign supreme with proper games being done while other critters who can do games do not have speed appropriate gains in terms of strategic choices.

Currently at snail I can add them to my culture and gain 10 culture/5 research. Compared to the "games" option where I can have 5 culture, 1 happiness for ..5 turns.. and 1 gold. Except bears, which give 25 culture 4 happiness, and 4 or 5 gold.

Not a bug but a WAD, which is how Dancing Hoskuld designed them. If you have a problem with it you need to talk with him about it.

It makes little sense for the values to be so drastically different, and for the "add to culture" option seems to be better in all circumstances other than the bears, whereas in v36, the "add to culture" option was the significantly worse option by far in almost all cases. It almost feels like the design decision seemed to have been overlooked for the few beasts who can "do games" to properly scale with game speed.

At one stage the values had to be in the individual animal XML but then we were able to put it on Unit Combat Classes instead. It is possible that one or two got missed. Which bears? I have not noticed it on any in my current game.
 
He is in the process of converting the technical aspect of those features for all animals, currently it is only bears, rhinos and sea critters that have been adjusted and all the other animals are a bit off.

I suppose you're playing without the C2C Combat Mod - Without Warning option on huh? Without that option, all the tags in use on those promos would but turned off. So this means I need to make sure that each promotion and the entire promotionline is also off without that option. This would indicate there are some other promotionlines that have the same issue. I somewhat hastily added Without Warning to isolate some game effects and it looks like I forgot this step. Thanks for bringing it up before the Conservative MP game gets underway... might be a bit annoying the unintended 'bleedover' there.

Apparently, these promotions are already off if the option is off. However, if you are getting information on those promos from the pedia, they will be listed but if the game is running without the option on or the last game you ran had the option off and you're looking at the pedia at the main menu, then yeah, they'll show up but have no data in them because the tags are only active during Without Warning games. If you play a game with this option on, you'll see them selectable on units, and appearing in the pedia. If Im guessing, you had an event that gave this promotion to all hunters as an option and were trying to figure out what it does right? That event should probably not give that selection as an option if Without Warning is off but I'm not sure where that would be modded.

Sadly, I did not take a screen shot of this particular event, but all 3 items were green and select-able and I did not have "Without Warning" on. I ended up choosing "Hunter Great", which ... as I'm sure you can read may be jarring grammatically but impossible to correct given the text of the event options. IMO still much better than seeing CIVOPEDIA_PROMOTION_HUNTER_GREAT, or some other thing, but its still jarring.
 
There are tags in the Events for having them active only when Game Options are on or off. Simple.
For having selection options on or off OR just the events themselves? Is that in triggers or events info? (And do you know what event this is we're talking about?)
