Koshling knew how to manipulate this. I have no idea. I'll try to look into it before a next version release at least. In the meantime, my deepest suggestion is to stop playing with tech trading. It's one of the worst options in civ history.Already posted this, but screenshot proves it: the AI ridiculously overvalues workers and other units in trade. See attached screenshot where an AI contacted me to offer to buy an Elephant worker (production cost 675 hammers and/or food) for 11,137 money. Deity/nightmare/large map/snail.
If you mass-produce workers you can buy techs much faster than you can research yourself, as long as there is somebody willing to trade. This completely ruins the difficulty level. So for now I play with the house rule of no selling units to the AI. Thus, I declined this offer.

I don't see how Tech trading has anything to do with this problem T-brd. This is all part of Afforess' Advanced Diplomacy Modmod afaik. In the meantime, my deepest suggestion is to stop playing with tech trading. It's one of the worst options in civ history.
Well... it doesn't directly. But the big imbalance as stated becomes then translating that gold gain into tech gain with tech trading.I don't see how Tech trading has anything to do with this problem T-brd. This is all part of Afforess' Advanced Diplomacy Modmod afaik.
Civ IV Steam version, updated
C2C SVN 9634
I reached Industrialism and I can't build Tengri shamans any more. The Shaman's Yurta is no longer functioning.
My Religion civic is Free Church which should allow me to build missionaries even without monasteries (but for certain religions, like Druidism and Shamanism, this has never been true).

My wild guess is that some resource producing building went obsolete and you didn't build an Industrial Era replacement. Check the bonus requirements for Shaman's Yurta and make sure you have them all.
There is nothing that makes that building obsolete. Are you using a C2C mod?
In Industrial Era, yeah that is strange. Do the AI show in the Diplomacy screen the ability to Trade them? In other words are they listed? And if so are they colored in Red? Or in white?I still can't trade maps and that's a head-scratcher for me.

Do you still have that older version of C2C in the BtS/Mods folder as well as this newer one?
Map Trading is supposed to become available at the tech Map Making. It is the only tech with the tag set to true.
