[RD] Super Tuesday

I think if Trump runs vs Hilary, Trump is going to win. But what do I know. I also wouldn't mind seeing Bill Clinton in a first lady dress, but..

Well, if what he did to Bush is any indication of what he's going to do to Hillary...

There are a lot of unknowns right now, which people making predictions seem to fail to take-in. That said, from what polling we have, Hilary would be considered a favourite over Trump. The questions we have are; how will Trump run his GE candidacy, and what do we really know about his campaign?

And what will be the effect of a campaign against him.

As has been pointed out the past couple days, Drumpf has a veritable ton of ammunition that he has produced to be used against him. For whatever reason the rest of the GOP candidates never fired a shot until very recently. It is an absolute truth that if he is the nominee the Democrats will not treat him so kindly.

Interviews with parties to the lawsuit against Drumpf University.

Interviews with people who lost their retirement savings on fraudulent Drumpf properties.

Examination in detail of the Drumpf businesses that went bankrupt, including how much got liquidated into Drumpf's personal fortune and how much of a bath was taken by the shareholders.

Drumpf's involvement in importing workers since no Americans would take the pay he offered.

On and on and on.

If you think Trump supporters care about any of that you're delusional and any "scandal" Trump has is going to make him look like a baby when compared to Hillary's scandals.

Catch up. It doesn't matter what Trump's "I am so angry I'll vote for the most reprehensible choice" supporters do. The three quarters of the population that finds him revolting are the clear majority.

Hmmmm. I see that in most of those predictions the Drumpf doesn't rise above 35-45% of voters. Strange, eh? But he can carry many of the winner-take-all states and then he can take quite a number in the other states. Drumpf 2016 for the Republican nomination sounds quite possible that way. He may have a low ceiling but he also has a high base level.

I just saw, for the first time:blush:, a picture of a Ted Cruz "TrusTed" sign/slogan (don't see many of those up here in Southern New England :nope:)

Pretty clever I must admit... Now I get what Tim means by "Trussed Ted" :D

BTW I didn't actually see the sign in real life... I saw it online in a video. Again, its New England... Cruz gets no play up here.:p

Vast numbers of the people who have been voting for Trump in the primaries have been independents or first time primary voters. Trump also won every single demographic category in the Nevada primary by large margins. He took in more votes than the entire Nevada primary did in 2012.

You wouldn't know this because you only stay within your own little leftist echo chamber. If you think Hillary and the left is well liked you're deluding yourself.

Took you all this time? It's Mr. Cruz' attempts to get people to think that a person who has actually shut down government while proposing no alternatives except the Kenyan's immediate resignation and/or impeachment should be trusted with the post of head of the executive branch of the single most powerful and technologically advanced state on planet Earth.

Sure.

Now that we have you specifically talking about me it becomes unavoidably clear that you are willing to just make up nonsense with no knowledge whatsoever. Not that most of us have forgotten you previous fly bys where you were proven to be totally out of touch with any sort of personal integrity over and over and over.

Please, make this one short.

All he needs to do is host a TEDx talk. TrusTEDx, on the political reality of America.

Is it me or did the photographer do rather well in making it look like his sign says "Rusted"? The first word in the byline looks like it could be 'outrageous'. :)

I think the Trump voters are actually more "diverse":p than that:

Category 1 - Loves Trump's TV show/character/persona, emotionally committed when he got in the race and is sticking with him no matter what.
Category 2 - Sick of losing with loser Republican politicians and thinks Trump's celebrity can carry them to victory... finally, so is sticking with him no matter what.
Category 3 - Feels demonized by the media, betrayed by the Republican party and is fed up with political correctness, so they absolutely refuse to vote for anyone associated with the establishment.
Category 4 - Fed up with Washington in general, so they absolutely refuse to vote for another career politician.

Or any combination of the above.

The triple C: Courageous, Conservative, Consistent. Sounds like soldier talk, to be honest.

"Not only did Donald Trump win the Nevada GOP caucuses Tuesday by more than 20 percentage points, he won in nearly every demographic category. As Rolling Stone reported, Trump won big among “men and women, those under 45 and over 45, and white voters and nonwhites. He took every category of education, and every category of political orientation, from moderate to very conservative. He won born-again voters and non-evangelicals. He won voters who care most about immigration, and those who prioritize the economy, and those worried about terrorism, and the ones who want to rein in government spending. He won voters who are angry and voters who are merely dissatisfied. He took those who care deeply about the Supreme Court vacancy, and those who really can’t be bothered. City dwellers, suburbanites, rural folk – they all went Trump. All of them.” – Phillip Brownlee"

Record voter turnout for Nevada. Trump takes more votes than the entire 2012 Nevada primary.

You couldn't have made a more ironic comment.

Does this disconnected post have anything to do with the subject at hand?

By the way, the demographics of 34,000 GOP caucus goers is what we call "too small a sample to support a conclusion."

YOU, of course, consider it important since it fits with your preconceived notion.

Based on my anecdotal experience, the most common type of Trump supporter that I've noticed, is someone who doesn't normally vote - gave up on politics a while ago, but Trump has them riled up and suddenly they are motivated to head to the booth, but only for him.

I think as his chances of winning continue rising, you'll see more and more different types joining the bandwagon for various reasons, but that's his seed group if you will.
You wouldn't know this because you only stay within your own little leftist echo chamber. If you think Hillary and the left is well liked you're deluding yourself.
If he's deluding himself, why would you want to change his mind? Think about it.
