That said, I don't think they want statehood, and I don't think we want their blue votes
Give them independence

I think a better idea would be for the U.S. to be Israel's seventh district.

Go for it. I seriously doubt anybody would try to stop the far more conservative and morally repressive states from seceding this time around. I certainly wouldn't even if it meant I had to relocate.

Perhaps you should try to get Saudi Arabia to join instead. Interestingly, the last time I checked 1/3 want statehood, 1/3 want independence, and 1/3 want things to stay just as they are.

Bibi doesn't trust Obama but knows that Obama would have no choice but to fully support Israeli right before elections. If Obama wins a second term Bibi would be afraid that Israel might be left high and dry. Thats my thinking of their thinking.
