Why do we need to send anything on? I am sure that most of us have a digital camera, so all we need to do is set up an order and the person on the list takes a photo and when he is done sends it onto the next person and the host of this thing. I don't see why we need the cost of shipping and a camera.

We can easily just upload the photos but the point is that it's funner to send things along that have been all over the world.

I would include something interesting.

The point is getting a picture of whatever in a ton of places around the world. No one is forcing you to join.

It's a shame that the first one was lost. I do like Heretic Cata's list of possibilities of what went wrong, but I really would've rather seen it succeed that be sent to Satan :(.

Count me in if you can, but with the caveat that I'm not sure where I'll be living by the time this gets around to me since that could be several months. If it starts soon, Wisconsin. If my living situation is too imprecise to partake, that's OK.

Why not just upload the photo to the PC and then host it in case the package gets lost? This way you still don't lose all the photos

It might be kind of fun to hide the photos online somehow, and that way it's a big surprise for all of us when we finally get to see them all.

Don't know if that's feasible, and I certainly don't want to mess with whatever Contre has already put effort into working out.

Knowing me, even if the photos are spoilered somehow, it's going to be very hard to wait until the end before looking at them :D

I'm in and I'm willing to put up a website for this project with a map. Probably just with a map that's updated each time stuff happens. Maybe more, but probably just a map. I could probably make it so that you can click a link and see what's going on in google earth, assuming you have it installed. I really am not promising anything other than a static URL with a rudimentary dynamic world map on it though. If anyone comes up with an amazing sounding .com we might as well register that too. I would be willing to collect the money for this part of the project by performing in the streets of Canada

We could possibly combine these? I dunno if we should really hide them all until the end though, I'd get roughly the same enjoyment from each photo as I would from looking at them all at the same time.

I can also volunteer some web dev work if warpus wants some help.

If you want to hide them, you can probably just have the people upload the photos, send them to contre, who will then put them in a private album on imgur or another image hosting site.

Hmmmmm.

I think I like this idea. It saves the reveal for the end. I'll ponder it.

This is what you will receive in the mail:

This would be awesome. If you or Mars/Zelig could make it so clicking a stop on the map would show that picture, it would be 10 times awesomer. www.followtheyeti.com ? >.>

And how far did the last camera make it anyway? I might as well map that too

Somewhere between Finland and Aussieland, which is to say, I'd think, somewhere on earth ><
