Well, I think that some of it has to do with where the employer is, but I don't think you can call that "culture".

Why is that remotely surprising? Before the recession hit, Canada had nearly a decade of budget surpluses, and we have a lot of oil.

Microsoft also has an AAA credit rating.

I've never been able to either. I think some people are just made that way.

Yeah, me neither. I can get a sustained note of a couple of seconds if I contort my face around until I hit it, but that's my limit. I don't know if it's inherent, or I'm just a bit useless.

And? From my perspective all it appears they do is read the doctors perscription note and then put the proper number and type of pills into a labeled bottle. I'm sure there is more then that to their job, but what is it? If there isn't more to their job, then why do they have to go to school for so long?

Pharmacists are not apothecaries. They are now part of the health system and they do a lot communication with the patient on the success or failures of certain prescriptions. They also have a large part in clinical trials for much the same reason.

Having some understanding of what the medications actually are in the hopes they'll reduce the misuse of drugs.
