AK is much more powerfull than M-16. A experiment with AK was made in Russia. The russians put 20 men snetanced to dead in a row. They fired on bullet from the AK....the bullet killed 16 men and wounded the seventeeth.

Once again I am thrilled by your amount of knowledge. One wonders where you get it all from :(

That has nothing to do with the AK-47 its self. Its the cartridge. An old SKS could do the same thing.

But your right that an 7.62x39mm is much more powerful than a 5.56x45mm (M-16 cartridge) but probably equal in lethality.

why dont you all take this discussion to that other topic and leave this one for picture posting?

Don't know anything about it being mounted on a Bradley. The only footage I've ever seen has always been on an HMMWV. Maybe the thinking is one HMMWV for the weapon and one to pack around the extra ammo is still cheaper than a Bradley.

yeah, im pretty sure they were gonna put them on the bradley, im surprised they didnt, it makes much more sense, you have alot more armour on a bradley, and you get at least one MG for protection against infantry

plus the space means you could have some kind of automatic loader, the way it is now, if you have to stop and get out to reload, its not really a AT vehicle, its a big vehicle mounted rocket launcher!

that might not be as a big a problem if this thing has a really long range, then you can use it as AT artillery! but with that kind of speed it seems unlikely...

anyway here are a few photos

That looks fun. Can I have one? I often see tanks going round the local roads and roundabouts - with indicators and L-plates. :rotfl:I'll post pics next time I see one when I have my camera on me; I just find something very laughable in a massive, indestructible-looking, dangerous-looking, road-crushing, ground-shaking, massive-gun-having tank carefully manouvring into the correct lane for a roundabout, with indicators. And L-plates!

@JawzII: If memory serves, the range of the LOSAT is around 5km.

Now, moving on to an ideal home-defense weapon. Everybody should have one mounted on their chimney just in case you have the need to put a lot of hurt on that house 1500 meters away.

The Mk-19 belt-fed automatic 40mm grenade launcher.

:) Especially this...a friend of my father was a military, and he had told him that. :)

wow, he was a whole military? lol

Ive fired ALOT of american, canadian french british and soviet weapons, I persoanlly like the american best. Soviet are the most rugged, but american put bullets on target alot more accurately, and thats what counts. So unless u have the info from personal use, please dont be biased until uve dont it yourself. Thats like saying I dont like Fords, but ive never driven one, but i heard that i wont like them

I want one of these

thats what im saying, with a bigass rocket like that, one would think you could squeeze more out of it, it looks like its bigger than the hellfire, and the hellfire has a range of 8km right? why not just put hellfires on a humvee? too expensive?

cause a modern day tank has a range of 4km, right? at least ithe LOSAT probably has a huge warhead.

like a crew served AT launcher, it will kick ass in the defensive role, i think.

@cidknee: that 105mm version of the stryker has to be braced for firing sideways, or so ive been told:
