Someone obliterated the Romans, apparently very early on as Carthage and Egypt are unhurt and Alexander the Great's empire is intact.

EDIT: Now that I look better at it, the Greek Empire is utterly stacked with wonders and has Buddhist cities: Athens has the Library, the Temple of Artemis, Parthenon, and Himeji (!). Sparta has the Colossus, Oracle, and Statue of Zeus. Epidamnos the Colosseum and Ishtar Gate. Babylon the Sphynx, Ankyra Borobudur, and Kalhu the Hanging Gardens.

EDIT2: And soon, they built the Shwedagon in Athens. Well, I know who the first target for a Viking invasion are going to be.

Actually Aachen is a great city site, like super awesome. Too bad Frankfurt Paris and Amsterdam make it useless, just look at that amazing BFC !

I want to see that replay.

Great idea, I hadn't thought of the replay. Here's a save (from a few centuries into the game) so you can see what happened. (Ìt should be noted I'm playing with my new leaders modmod installed, so the save might not work correctly without it)

Spoiler :
The barbarian uprising event happens right on Rome's border while the kings are still in charge. Hunnic hordes swoop down Italy a thousand years too early and raze all the cities there.

Yeah, Phoenicia is a case that's very hard for the AI. Mind you, I've seen them settling Barcino/Barcelona.

What graphics module is that?

"Improved Graphics for Civ", it's a modmod in the Modmods section of the Civ4 fora.

That would make the Crusades world blood bath.

Have fun with that. A reroll is in order IMO.

Leoreth added some capes around the Canaries so it's harder to settle S.A. in the opening turns.
