Can't you just dress as a soldier?

Okay, so like, Fox News is the right-wing media outlet, yes?

...Could somehow explain to me how the hell this chart happened? It was very surreal.

More context needed. But more contributions usually go to the party in power. That's about targeting power, not ideology.

Yeah but you've got to rent the outfit which is quite pricey. If it was just a soldier then primark would do for a fiver but i don't think they have anything i can hack into the 1940's

You're demonstrating some northern spirit in you endeavour for lowering costs.
So, um... a soldier suit won't do, you say... why not a factory worker? You know, coveralls and the rest. Might put in helmet as well.
I hate fancy dress parties.

I do try:lol:

Well I don't have any coveralls so that would also mean buying stuff and I'm not sure whether Primark sells coveralls! I found a couple of places on t'internet that does fancy dress rental in camden but it's like 40 quid a pop! Balls to that!

Then why not make yourself one out of papier-mâché?? :crazyeye:

I think that is fast becoming my only option....

A friend suggested wearing a suit and just saying I was a clerk in the 1940's... may have to just resort to that!

I wonder what sort of contributions those are. Are they counting payments for access to news (half-bribes)? Because the ruling party certainly controls more of that. Do you pay the Democrats for good places at presidential news conferences?
Are they counting personal payments from members of the organisation? It says that some came from a jeweller. That's not a news organisation, whether it be an individual or another company. So are individuals using a company charity donation scheme to donate to their choice of party?

What does "nébuleuse" mean? Heres the context:

The crisis of this post-war order can be traced to the years 1968-75.
During this period, the balanced compromise of Bretton Woods shifted
toward subordination of domestic economies to the perceived exigencies
of a global economy. States willy nilly became more effectively accountable
to a nébuleuse personified as the, global economy; and they were
constrained to mystify this external accountability in the eyes and ears of
their own publics through the new vocabulary of globalisation, interdependence,
and competitiveness.

I don't like this Robert Cox guy as a writer. He has some sort of pro-French agenda. Slipping in bits of French here and there. I bet he thinks it makes him look smart.

I can guess it is someone nebulous. But since that's already the idea of nebulousness personified, a second personification seems unnecessary.

Clue about the news media donation chart:

*$2300 to Republicans was from "a jeweler"

a jeweler

Spoiler :
a jew

THE JEWS OWN ALL THE MEDIA :run: IT'S A CONSPIRACY

and so, it was from individuals, perhaps individuals on the media, or individuals who appeared on the media.

I'm just curious, but does anyone know what proportion of health care in the US goes towards doctors' income.
