Layman's terms, please.
Well the YDB event referenced regarding this small village, Abu Hureyra, was not a direct hit destruction since they found lots of human stuff to excavate. It was also pre Gobleki Tepe. S&G, as described were walled cities with far more sophistication. And they were hit directly. So no, they are not the same event. We know that Abu Hureyra existed since the remains were excavated before the dam. S&G? I don't believe they have been actually found.https://phys.org/news/2020-03-evidence-cosmic-impact-destruction-world.html
Was Sodom and Gomorrah around 4,000 years ago or 12,800?
Or was this a different event?
Air bursts get recorded. Any of them found at or over the area?I suppose thats true, plus Sodom and Gomorrah are kinda dated by Abraham's place in history, or assumed place. A bunch of kings at war and all that too. But if Sodom and Gomorrah were done in by an airburst that would mean two such events in the span of less than 9,000 years. Doesn't provide us modern folk much comfort.

We get massive airbursts fairly regularly and really have only gotten lucky a big city hasn't taken a direct hit in recorded history. I would say 2 cities/sites destroyed by meteors in 9,000 is not at all unreasonable, all other things aside.
Who is "somebody"? Where is the evidence now? Evidence of a Tsunami where? In the Dead sea? One would think that Abraham would have noticed an airburst on his own.Somebody found evidence of a bronze age airburst over the northern Dead Sea, 4-4500 years ago which is in Abraham's ballpark. Stuff like spherules, extreme heating followed quickly by cooling, pottery shards and other material showing exposure to heat more on one side, leveled walls kinda like how Tunguska knocked down trees emanating outward from a focal point above and not an earthquake. And I think they found evidence of a tsunami as the Dead Sea was roiled by shockwaves.

If Chelyabinsk had come in at a steeper angle just a few years ago, the thousands injured by it would have died instead.Imagine Tunguska over Beijing or NYC, millions dead in an instant.
Since airbursts are so deadly to basically everything in the vicinity, how did anyone survive long enough to record anything? Are you going to tell us that Lot's wife turned into a layer of salt, rather than a pillar?I cant remember who, it was maybe a year ago probably from https://phys.org/ which is my goto science news site. I haven't seen any updates but the evidence of tsunami was a salt layer at the northern end of the Dead Sea supposedly deposited by a sloshing back and forth as the shock wave hit the water. 'Abraham' did notice, somebody wrote the vision of fire and brimstone falling from the sky into the Bible.

A steeper angle would have seen it get closer to the ground before it burst. As it happened, it exploded at a very high altitude so the worst of the shockwave only broke glass instead of leveling buildings.is that because the shock wave is directed more toward the ground?
