TT01: Beating Demigod

guys? anyone around? i thought it´s just Buce who is on vacation...

Sorry... couldn't post Monday at lunch (site issues) and been VERY busy at work since.

I think it should be a fairly quiet set next, preparing for Viking war. Unless they start it first, then it should be big fun. ;) At the same time, if the next player feels they're ready to rumble, I suggest they go for it.

I would suggest as many fast movers (i.e. knights) as possible for three reasons:

1. They'll upgrade to cavs when we need them to. Always a plus!

2. Less unit attrition as many of them will retreat rather than die. That's really really helpful for us.

3. In the event that it's an easier fight than I anticipate, that will help us wipe them off the island faster, which will help us get a breath and some more infrastructure.

Five turns (?) of Golden Age left... let's use them wisely!

Just a stupid question here: Who is up? I haven't seen a roster lately.

tt´s up, overseer

for some feeling obviously i checked the attached save - it appears to be corrupt. did you have any problems downloading it?

anyway, here i post it again

Dunno about the first one, but that one works dandy.

A couple of minor comments:

Be careful in settling the secondary island and of the one foggy spot in our south. We do still have barbs on.

We may want to take some of the scientists off duty in the south and put them to work--at least in a few of the towns around Pasargarde. I think those can become moderately productive. The outlying ones, not so much.

Hilversum is working a plains when it should be enjoying some flood plain goodness.

Hilversum is to be disbanded next turn. the settler to replace it in CxxC pattern is already in position. it is set on plains in case the next player wants to turn it into a settler, so that it does not grow to size 3 meanwhile.
i think my log says so, if not, this is why things are as they are.

Ah, that makes sense. Carry on!

It appears that our illustrious leader, TT, hasn't been on since August 10th.

That would put Buce up, but he's on vacation.

Which would put Overseer up, I think?

Do we want to proceed, or what?

I'm up in my own SG, so I might not get to this til Monday, but I can take it then if Thinktank hasn't arrived by then. We should definitely try to keep this going, even if very s l o w l y until the vacations are over.

I think I can start tomorrow night, so if someone wants it before then, go for it.

Welcome back Buce, you haven't missed much.

I finally finished my other SG, so I will begin this tomorrow night. I will try to review everything before then.

*holds breath in anticipation*

given how long we already have this pausing since the last turn was played, i hope your lungs are well trained ;)

I admit I'm looking a little like this... and turning this color... :(

I'm getting there, albeit slowly. I have just come back from work, so I'm a bit behind.

Quick question: the Vikings will trade Banking for Chemistry, does that seem like a good idea?
