I think post #63 missed the the previous post's votes. The Hoplite should have been eliminated after #63 but post #64 also downvoted the Hoplite when it shouldn't have been on the list at that point. Not quite sure how to resolve that one.

Also De Zeven Provinciën should be at 23.

Bireme (Phoenicia) - 21 (20+1) If you plan for it, this can allow you to be a coastal menace like the Viking Longship (with similar movement and attack bonuses), albeit more focused on the cities themselves rather than pillaging. 30 is more than enough to knock out early cities, if your opponents give you the opportunity. The added trade protection is a nice touch, as it adds to the resistance against the plague of barbarian boats.

Crouching Tiger (China) - 4 = 3 + 1. I think it is better than the Saka Horse Archer. Crouching Tiger has more ranged attack than its contemporary (crossbow), Horse Archer does not (archer). Horse Archer has more movement but that matters little when it can't retreat after attacking. Both upgrade into a field cannon which is really odd since the Horse Archer is a classical era unit meaning you have to wait 3 eras to do so and it goes obsolete way before then.

Outstanding when garrisoned during sieges, but it's just not enough. It also needs a hard build. :(

Digger (Australia) - 18 = 17 + 1 - these mates deserve some credit. Not only do they come with +2 base strength, they get +5 outside your own territory. Not continent, your territory - extremely handy on the attack. Then, in a twist that brings unimaginable shame to Hojo, they get +10 on coastal tiles. Dump all of them together and you're sitting at +17 on foreign coasts over regular infantry. But wait! there's more!
These Eco-Warriors eschew Oil and bring the awesome power of Vegemite to the battlefield. No oil requirement! Insanity! It's virtually impossible to win a game without picking up replaceable parts, so they are great for busting through tough opponents on your way to victory. (Like liberating some CS for the +100% production on your space race)
