1) When I researched slavery the hover-over in the Tech says it would give a :) boost from all civs without slavery. It also allows the construction of Slave market and Central Bank? Not sure if this is just a display error or a bug.

2)I was able to build the Maoi Statues in some cities but not in others, but I have Stone in all of them. A few turns later I was able to build them in more cities but still not in all. I could post a savegame if you want.

3)When I click on an Subdued Emu or a small bird and want to move them to a city (but not move it there, if you know what I mean?^^) then the hover over shows it could build menagerie and the Animal Standart and such but not the Herd - Flocks. However, when the unit is finally in the city, I was able to build the flocks.

4)I got the Event "all your archers are promoted with poisoned Arrows". I think this was removed because of the poison crafters hut?

5) More about tech quotes. Should I even post them here? I think someone wanted to "fix" them.

-Elephant Domestication: Audio-Quote and Quote are differnt
-Camel Domestication has a Quote that is already used (I think with Horseback Riding)
-Candlemaking and Pottery has the same quote.

And there are plenty of Techs with no Audio-Quote. Not that this was importend, I just want to know if I should write a list about those.
 
I had a quick look to se what you'd done, but the changes are far too large for me to pinpoint anything obvious. You'll need to single step through combat to figure out what broke.

One thing I DID see was that the load/save code is definitely broken and is likely to save one modifier but load it into a different one. I **doubt** this is the problem here (since nothing will have the new modifiers). I'll fix the load/save aspect after you fix whatever is wrong with the mechanism changes - just let me know...

PS - Koas are strength 8 with in-built anti-melee and city attack

hmm... second time I caused problems in the wrapper huh? I'll be looking for your update so I can evaluate to see what I did wrong there. Not sure what I'm not 'getting' irt that area.

Sheesh... ok... Koas are badass. Didn't realize that. Anyhow, no attacker could actually hit and deal damage the way it was (missing a '()' in a function call to check if the attacker was stunned that would normally make it so if the attacker was stunned then it wouldn't make an attack that round - ack! ) Fixed now. ;)

In ANcient balistics Balista icon looks more like trebuch than balista
Balista is a big crossbow.
 
The crime per trait feature is /waaaaay/ off the mark. Protective grants -2 crime per turn. Sure. Fine. Aggressive grants +30 and Nomad grants +40 per turn :eek: That can't possibly be intentional, can it?
Protective adds -2 crime per population per turn if you are above a certain amount of crime. Aggressive and Nomad on the other hand add a flat amount of crime until you are above a certain level of crime.

To be precise:

Nomad - adds (flat) 40 per turn in all cities with > 15 population

Aggressive - adds (flat) 30 per turn if crime > 150

I think I agree that these are a bit ill-conceived, especially the second one, which will basically make crime run away when it hits 150 (it will increase from 150 to 450 without anything changing if its not STRONGLY counteracted) and be very hard to bring back down.

No one is 100% sure of why it happens (and it doesn't happen the same time for everyone), so no one can give you a fool proof answer. See the thread on it, but be prepared to be disappointed.
 
Not so much a bug but a big imbalance. I have major global warming problems and I have only just rsearched gunpowder!

Im on a giant map with 30 odd civs so prob needs balanceing.
 
Noticing you're on Snail... I'm thinking the spawn rate may be higher for faster game speeds but I'm not sure. Joe posted an even more animal-crowded map earlier from a Normal game speed. On the longer game speeds we don't see anywhere near that many.

Turn 718, nearly no animal near me.
Look like a icy oceanian continent, sometimes, platypus spawn, and sometimes a bird...
I must be in a really icy map, more than 50% of the land I lnow, even near normal coast are tundra, ice or permafrost. So, it's hard to explore and say for elsewhere : my capital is in a no ice part, but because there are no animals, my units can gain XP and so cant gain protection from cold promotion.

Another bug for french translation : lot of animal promotion have the same name (Paramédical)

If not. Restart the game before reload.
 
Promotion Bug:

I am offered the promotion Mountaineering (with 1 star) but i already have that promotion, (so i tried it and now i have 2 of the same looking buttons in the units area?)

Are you sure that's mountaineering, not mountain leader? I think they have the same icon.

Are you all using the SVN? or v27 Release?

If using SVN are you using a version with revision #4203 or above. If so it has a big problem please revert back to version #4202. Putting the cursor over your flag in the lower right next to minimap will tell what version you're using.

Band of homo sapiens is buildable. WAD or an error?

Did you get a screen shot and post a save game showing problem? Koshling, AIANdy, and others will need that to see the problem. Give details on what to do to replicate.

Did you go into the Assets/Cache . . and delete the files inside there??

Also did you hold the shift down when loading till the music turns on?
 
Has to be a video card or a card setting. Only a handful of players have had this. Most players have never had it.

It would be nice if we could get the types of Vid cards from those that have this problem.
