Which one is the winner today?

Mafia 2, Empire: Total War, or Mass Effect 2?

I'd include Fallout 3, but I think everyone owns that already.

$10.19 gets you Empire AND Napoleon Total War AND all of their DLCs and they were just properly opened up to modders a week or so ago. Also get Mass Effect 2. Mafia is good also but it WILL be on sale again.

I almost bought Empire for 14 bucks the other day. I definitely remember talking to one of you on Steam about how I felt like waiting. Glad I did. :D

Steam Summer Sale Day 10!

Name $USD EUR€ £GBP $AUS Metascore

 • X SuperBox $10 5€ £5 $10 <-- X3: Reunion and/or Terran Conflict, great deal for two great games (although you only really need to buy Terran Conflict). One of my friends has 800 hours of Terran Conflict alnog with a massive galactic trade and manufacturing empire.
 • Sam & Max Complete Pack $12.50 8,24€ £8.74 $12.50 <-- Still haven't had time to play them yet, but supposedly very good (and more exciting than usual) point and click adventure games.

 • The Hitman Collection $7.50 7,50€ £4.50 $7.50 82 <-- Hitman: Blood Money is an awesome game, incredibly fun :D

Terraria, in my opinion is a great game that is totally worth full price. This deal is one I don't think you should pass up, unless you really aren't into that type of game. Also P.A.M. was a racing game featured in the potato sack.

Good Old Games is also having a summer sale until July 25th.

Summer Hidden Gems: Sanitarium 60% off

As our catalog gets bigger and better every week, it’s easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. We’ve been running one day “Gaming Gem” promos for a while now to highlight some classic titles that don’t get the love of some of our best-known blockbusters like Baldur’s Gate or Duke Nukem 3D. To celebrate summer, for the next two weeks until July 25th, we’re going to run a Gaming Gem promo every day, so you can rediscover these lesser-known classics! Grab that plastic toy shovel and dig out gem after gem over the next 18 days. We think every game we’re going to be offering on our Summer GOG.com Gem Extravaganza will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.

How does the conceived nick strain? The fun stare embeds the design. The digital digest joins the spit past the executive negative!

What’s that, you say? We’re sounding a bit crazy? You’re probably right. Either that, or we’re writing a description for a game about being crazy. It’s anyone’s guess what’s happening. Wifflebats!

Actually, we’re taking our one-day promos to the next level.

Our very first promo is for the unparallelled Sanitarium. A frightening look into the mind of madness, you find yourself continually wondering, as you make your way through the five worlds that your insanity takes you to: is this encounter real, or only the product of a fevered imagination? You are a recent victim of a car crash, and one who has complete amnesia. You awaken in an insane asylum, and immediately you must fend for yourself in a world gone mad—unless it’s you who’s gone mad, and the world is just a reflection of that.

With a gripping, haunting story and a graphics engine that has stood the test of time (the graphics look rather like the Infinity Engine games), Sanitarium is one of those games that grabs hold of you and just doesn’t let go. Give it a try on GOG.com for just $3.99. This offer expires tomorrow, when we’ll have another hidden gaming classic on sale, so check back in to see what game we’re offering then for your hassle dashes inveigle marpuk snozznozzle.

I have about $20 more I want to spend on the Steam sale (don't HAVE to, but it'd like to get enough games to last me until Christmas). Does anyone have suggestions?

Terraria is a fun game.

For $5, I'd say Sup Com2+expansion (which really is a retro-reboot of Sup Com1 content) is worth it. I played lots of Sup Com1 and loved that one since its a good balance between base building, tactics, and unit upgrades, without a complicated tech tree . I'm about to get a copy it for me and a friend.

NWN2 is pretty good, and I'd say it's more fun than NWN1, but probably lacked in story; and NWN1 had the great Underdark expansion which I don't think NWN2 can touch. My only caveat is I never finished a complete game of NWN2 because of so many bugs and difficulty getting it patched. And the NWN2 primary story is a bit lame, only made up for by the companion characters. OTOH, you can play it multiplayer on persistent servers like a mini-MMO. And the first expansion to NWN2 had a decent story, a little bit like planescape torment but shamanistic.
I might pick this up since it's $2 a game basically, and presumably fully patched. The first expansion to NWN2 also aimed to have a good story, somewhat akin to

Sam and Max are very classic, probably even better than LucasArts at their best. I think they started as a LucasArts title and then were resurrected as indie. I've played through at least one series, and it was great. There's a free episode about Abe Linclon that is hilarious, if you want to demo them.

Prince of Persia is basically Lara Croft. Trick jump to get to other places, then duel enemies with swords. Might be best with a console controller.

I believe Duke Nukem sucks at any price.

Which is better to get X3 Reunion or X3 Terrain Conflict?
