What 25 inventions does humanity NEED to create?

What about swimming planes?

In all seriousness, climate-friendly agriculture mechanization. And a way to humanely destroy the entire agricultural animal population.

What about amphibious flying cars?

Amphibious flying cars that can also travel through space? Yes.
Amphibious flying cars that can also travel through space-time? Yes.
Amphibious flying cars that can't fly through space or time? We've already got flying cars and flying boats, why bother

Some kind of teleportation tech would really change things.

I don't trust teleportation....

I would say "easy" energy, matter reorganization, discover/ability to manipulate/enhance human learning and dna

Some weapon that can wipe out vast swathes of the population, but without creating all the fallout and devastation you'd get with nukes.

We already have that. It's called chemical weapons. Most of them don't have residual effects that last all that long. At least, not when compared to the fallout that would be created by nuclear detonations all over the globe.

So a weapon that kill all people but respetuous of private property. Neoliberals... :crazyeye:

Not destructive enough on a wide scale

Seriouspost: Flying cars belong to the tier of second-dumbest [1] ideas in the history of technology. At least until everything can be automated in a safe and efficient manner. Because "flying cars" basically means light aircraft available on an individual basis to the general population, to a similar extent as ground cars. Consider how many idiots are allowed behind the wheel of a car; consider next what would happen if you extended that to vehicles that move in three dimensions and more quickly...

[1] Because the highest tier of dumb ideas, after all, has to be reserved for such suicidal lunacy as Project Pluto.

Instantaneous travel
A replicator that can create anything for anybody at any time, or, failing that a computer program that achieves perfect efficient resource allocation to every person on the planet
an unlimited energy source to power the replicators.

Most of our problems come from scarcity, either due to scarcity of resources or scarcity due to inefficient allocation of resources, or a perceived scarcity. You take all that away, and I think a lot of the problems would sort themselves out.

Communism. I'm saying the answer is communism.

Something that prevents the climate change apocalypse. As in, something that's easy to convert to that solves all the adaption issues.

I don't trust teleportation....

The sort of teleportation scientists are working on is not really teleportation, so I wouldn't trust it for personal use either. It would just make a copy of you elsewhere, and not really teleport you. I would use it to teleport non-living things and maybe in some situations pets, but that's about it.

You could tweak its parameters a bit and use it to create a clone army.:scan:

It might be safe, unless there are flies around? /cron
