I'm single but hoping that by randomly adding people and poking them on face book I might start a relationship with them. But it hasn't worked so far. :( I did have a facebook marriage with one of my friends though :D
Are you female? :mischief:

Yeah I haven't had much lady luck in college either. I don't know if it's because I'm bad with women, of if my apathetic self just isn't trying hard enough to find one.

I don't sweat it though...no need to. Why fret over girls? Never envy a man for his woman, as Charles Bukowski once said.

"No matter how good that girl looks some guy somewhere is tired of her crap."

If you live in Connecticut I know an awesome guy who you might be able to date. :mischief:

He's kind of a fixer-upper but I've heard you ladies kind of enjoy that. :D

And the game never ends...

I think marriage is probably the worst invention that was ever made. Think about it, why spend so much time with someone that you will grow to hate? You can't think for yourself. You can't make your own rules in the privacy of your own home, which I believe ought to be a sanctuary from all the mess from the world and the constant nagging by people who do nothing but want attention to be drawn to themselves.

I call one-sidedness fallacy!

The fallacy consists of giving reasons for your thesis without considering reasons against it, or giving reasons against an opposing view without considering reasons for it.

It's easy to say something for virtually any thesis, or to say something against it. So to hear something for or against a thesis doesn't take us very far. To be in a good position to decide the truth of a thesis, we'd like to hear (1) the best that can be said (2) on each side. We'll worry about "the best" elsewhere. This hand-out is about reaching two-sidedness.

Well, since Fifty is a girl, I know it's not a same-sex issue.

But since the anti-gay-marriage people always say "what will happen afterward? People will marry their toasters?", I have to ask. Are you a toaster?
Well, I'm dead. So there's a problem there.

I'm getting to that point. Any relationship I get into is ultimately futile and that is besides the point anyway since I haven't gotten close in over a year.

I thought getting to college meant I would meet a mature girl or at least someone I can screw around with but I'm getting nothing. Oh well.

Mature doesn't exist in college. College girls are the same as high school girls, only in college you can invent yourself as whoever you want.

I'm single at the moment, and not happy with the pickings I have to choose from.

Something else - long term relationship (not "dating"). I have a child by my partner but neither of us have any desire to get married (well besides that it would be fun to have a big party, I never had a party since age 10 or 11 :().
Something similar.
I have a girlfriend since 3½ years, and she's living with me since January. This poll is not very fitting for us sinful Europeans.

Single, but whatever

I'm semi-okay with the way I am now

I'm single and I don't have a facebook. And no interesting prospects since downtown went back to Ohioland. :(
