Slight variations in behaviour can be explained by this.

Just resize it to a 2:1 ratio. There'll be distortion, and some projections might make it worse, but it would always have to be cleaned up after reprojection anyway.

You'd probably want to run three raster layers through: the terrain map, a two-tone land/sea map, and the political map. Use the two-tone as a base to redraw the political stuff and just leave the terrain map as is. Since they all line up to begin with you can resize them the same way and save a text file with the rectification coordinates to ensure they stay matched.

Looks cool Lucky!

In other news, 3DS Max 2011 aquired for educational purposes:

yep, inspiration from your work :) 3DS max also has bump / displacement mapping if you want to get really into it.

A bit more than 3 years, maybe even 4, depending on how far I get.

I really need to finish Highschool on a high note and get a good college. I might pop up for some Boardgamer NESes over the summers though.

Bye.

Academic strength in high school translating to getting into a good college is an outdated myth. It's all about who you know, how well you can perform at interviews (my Harvard interview was with a doctor who knew nothing of theoretical stuff like math or comp sci and was cold as hell; my other interviewers were young and we made enjoyable small talk for ~2 hours), and how much motivation you can get across in your essays without sounding too much like a stuck-up prick.

Assuming you're above a certain academic threshold of course, but that threshold isn't all too selective.

Depends on where you are from, though no matter where you are who you know is always important. Annoyingly.

I need to join another NES ... Bored. Any good reccomendations?

Join mine, Adrogans. :) It might be looking a little neglected but it's going to update within the next week. You can even write a story or two before the update if you start now.

I've got Chinese Parents. I need to be worried about my grade! I must perpetuate the stereotype as honor demands!

I feel like that statement is a worthy add-on to my sig.

Actually, I'm quite curious:

Would online activity (whether it is NESing or discussion of political topics) be considered during the college application process? For example, could I make an argument that my experiences as a moderator and player positively influenced my leadership skills, present my orders as logical and rational decision-making based on a multitude of historical sources and situational evidence, present any alternative history written as exemplary examples of my writing, etc?
