Anyone have a good library of sprites on their computers/links to a website with such?

Fantasty sprites, such as spacemen, goblins, archers, that kind of thing.

Random note: I would strongly recommend the book 'Superhero: your completed guide to finding a secret HQ, hiring a sidekick, thwarting the forces of evil, and much more!!'

It made me laugh more times than I can count, although I'm not sure how easy it is to find.

Or Max Brooks's Zombie Survival Guide. Was a fun read.

Daft is excellent at this.

But try googling "Fire Emblem sprites" and "Battle for Wesnoth sprites" or somesuch. I know both of those are pretty swell.

Not sure about the spacemen tho.

This is a showcase of why I don't play vanilla Victoria any more. Mostly I'm showing this to illustrate how easy the game's mechanics are to break.

This is my Victoria game as Uruguay. Its 1909, and I'm a Great Power. My population is 60 million, and I haven't fought a single war all game (barring a fake war with Paraguay because it looked ugly). This is all immigration.

No cheats, except the occasional Neville to fix up insanely ugly borders after wars.

I still have 30 years to go to go further up the GP ranks. In another game as Uruguay I managed to get to 5th in 1936, but I deleted all my old saves to make room. Gonna try to beat that, but its unlikely.

Also of note is gigantic Argentina. It allied with Bolivia early in the game, and went to war with Chile when Chile attacked Bolivia. It ate half the country, and then the Chileans allied with Paraguay and declared war five years later. After that it was just a rump state in Santiago, when they declared war a third time. Meanwhile Paraguay got reduced to a rump state and I decided it looked ugly so I declared war and let my allies Argentina and Brazil destroy it.

The little yellow bits in Colombia are mine because I'm in the process of transferring them back to Colombia because ugly borders. They were taken by the CSA, which is still alive.

You triggered my trap card

I recommend The Spriters Resource, some of my favourites:

http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/breathfire2/

http://www.spriters-resource.com/psx_ps2/lunarssc/index.html

http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/chronotrigger/index.html

You can search there and find a lot of different sprites, the trick would be getting everything in a single style/scale. I think SNES style is best for spriteyness. Some of the DS and PSX games copy this style.

Go find my Uruguay game in the Screenshots thread in All Other Games. By that time I had something like 200 million in population with no expansion.

Damn. I only managed ~160 mil by 1910, and I had Brazil too. 'gratz.

What game is that?

Actually, that looks more like EU2 to me. :)

My pic is from EU2 indeed. I wanted to share one of my paradox game screenshots since I don't have Victoria.
