How about just ending the practice of child concentration camps altogether, even if Trump and his cronies don't ultimately end up hanging upside down from a gas station like they deserve?

Can we just agree that that wittle teensy tiny little respite alone would be a good thing that we could maybe do by voting for not-Trump?

Biden wont detain children? Lex and I were discussing lesser evils and he cited children being held crossing the border. I pointed to the 1/2 million dead Iraqi children Joe helped kill. I can figure out which is worse.

Remember Coen, Trump's old lawyer?

In his new book he says Trump is completely controlled by Putin and a "sucker".

Trump sold Javelins to Ukraine to deter Russian armor

Trump, Bush, Biden, and Clinton should ALL be facing maximum consequences for their heinous and high level crimes, frankly! Why should inhuman, vile monsters be picked and chosen between! They should all meet their well-deserved punishments!

Volunteers don't tend to have tanks either.

Vaguely plausible when they used old Soviet/WW2 ones.

The "volunteers" got chewed up and spat out back in 2014. Ukraine can defend itself against "insurgents" bit so much Russian backed mercs, special forces etc.

idk patine, that sounds dangerously close to extremist thinking

It is sorrowful and dark days when a sincere desire for justice is viewed as "extremist thinking." :cringe:

Then we'd sell them anti-air systems like we did with the mujahideen in Afghanistan.

That was mostly stingers which were useful in that war. Helicopters and insecure airfields.

Unless NATO or USA wants to deploy high end missile batteries on Russia's doorstep.....

Can't see how that could backfire.

I recommend the 538 articles on what republicans are doing so there are as few people as possible who can vote in november. The first one from last month explained the various steps they're taking, and the new one from today gives an update on what some republican officials in various states are doing.

I'm not making a misrepresentation at all.

No, and if you read more carefully of course you will see that I did not even say that. I said you were making an analysis and then misapplying it to a situation in which it does not apply.

The parties have undergone quite large ideological shifts over the past century; the Republicans have undergone noticeable ideological change just over the last 20 years. Donald Trump "captured" the Republican Party, its formal organization and "elites" might as well not have been there.

Basically, if candidates like Bernie (or whomever you like) can actually win over the party by winning the primary, there is nothing the party can really do to stop them. The problem this year was that Bernie didn't win over the party.

Basically what I've been saying.

If the progressives had the numbers they could tea party the Democrats. I doubt they make up 10% of the Electorate.

We have proportional Voting here, AiC and co would be at home in the Greens, current polling 3.2%, they need 5%.

Labour trending towards the center 54% looking at winning an outright majority.

Here the stereotypical progressive is an urban middle class female in her 20s and 30s. They perform well in middle class and upper class suburbs, not very well in poorer suburbs and outright terrible in rural and semi rural areas.

Given the state of modern media (as opposed to it's previous, more limited in such qualities incarnations) one would never know or guess we actually live, today, in the safest, most tolerant, and most peaceful (RELATIVELY SPEAKING) period of time in recorded world history.

. . . and yet . . .

the whole American political party system is a corrupt, self-serving, criminal racket, and that any Americans who wish to see TRUE betterment, advancement, justice, and needed change in their country to gather to a massive grassroots legislative revolt to actually vote out BOTH parties in the same election, and then gather a new Convention to write a Constitution for the modern world, not one written by arrogant, elitist, ultra-wealthy, full-of-themselves aristocrats much like any in Europe at their time, just without formal titles (and more than half of them were slaveholders). A vote for EITHER a Democrat OR a Republican is a vote for the Establishment - and a vote AGAINST the people and against truly needed reforms and changes

We live in the best time in recorded history and yet need to utterly overturn the governmental system that presumably was at least partly responsible for our achieving that.:crazyeye:
