I got this from a guy in another forum who got it from a myspace page. I don't plan on debating abortion, but I thought some of you might like it either as a mind changer or as filler for argument.
It's about the abortion process:

This was in my Myspace Bulletins...

In September 1993, Brenda Pratt Shafer, a registered nurse with thirteen years of experience, was assigned by her nursing agency to an abortion clinic. Since Nurse Shafer considered herself "very pro-choice," she didn't think this assignment would be a problem. She was wrong. This is what Nurse Shafer saw:

"I stood at the doctor's side and watched him perform a partial-birth abortion on a woman who was six months pregnant. The baby's heartbeat was clearly visible on the ultrasound screen. The doctor delivered the baby's body and arms, everything but his little head. The baby's body was moving. His little fingers were clasping together. He was kicking his feet. The doctor took a pair of scissors and inserted them into the back of the baby's head, and the baby's arms jerked out in a flinch, a startle reaction, like a baby does when he thinks that he might fall. Then the doctor opened the scissors up. Then he stuck the high-powered suction tube into the hole and sucked the baby's brains out. Now the baby was completely limp. I never went back to the clinic. But I am still haunted by the face of that little boy. It was the most perfect, angelic face I have ever seen."

But what about if the baby had been aborted at a younger age.. say 6 weeks? When the baby is this young, doctors use the Saline Method, where they inject a salty saline solution into the mother's womb. You would think it would just poison the baby, but it actually burns it to death. Even though the baby is so young, on ultrasounds of the abortion, the fetus is seen pulling away from the poison as it is injected.. obviously wanting to stay alive.(The baby is intelligent enough to move away from the pain..but the child can't escape it)

Think about that before you say that unborn children can't feel pain.

PASS THIS ON IF YOU BELIEVE ABORTION IS WRONG.

Life is life, no matter how small.
A baby cries for it's first and last time when it's aborted
You can deny but its true.

Here's a link to the post on the other forum if anyone is interested : http://www.offtopicz.com/25943-i-m-still-pro-choice-but.html

Partial Birth Abortions are illegal now so this is a non-issue.

You proved that partial birth abortion in non emergencies are pretty nasty things, but you likely wont change many people's views on early abortions with that though.

Indeed. And there are quite a bunch of pro-choice people that are against partial-birth abortion.

They need to figure out at what point does the fetus react to foreign stimuli and say that's the point of no return.

Then the doctor opened the scissors up.

Thirteen years of experience and she calls forceps, scissors?

I highly doubt that this article is truthful. Especially if it was circulated over MySpace.

ZOMG BE SURE TO PASS ON THIS ABORTION STORY TO 15 PEOPLE OR YOUR PARENTS WILL DIE TONIGHT BY THE FETUS COMING BACK TO HAUNT THEM!!!11111

I find that this type of propaganda tends to harden my stance against the thing that is being propagandised.

This story is cheap and lame, and will only affect the gullible dupes and emos.

Im with stoopid

Lets check if I've changed my mind .......... Nope I still feel that if you don't want one don't get one.

But since abortions are perfectly legal at any stage, it's irrelevant. You see, that act only banned partial birth abortions - what they do now is just kill the fetus beforehand by injecting it with lethal drugs. See this article. It's still legal to have an abortion at pretty much any stage in the pregnancy - they just have to make sure the baby is dead before it comes out of the mother.

That law was a nice symbolic gesture, but didn't really change anything.

But it's not enough!

It seems that as I age, that's become my stance on more and more things. If you don't want it, then don't do it.

everytime you pass on a cheesy chain letter against abortion I personally impregnate a poor woman from the inner city and take her to an abortion clinic in the third trimester.

I second Mr "my-Tiger-beats-your-Leopard"'s statement.
