Altered maps VIII: World borders just got garbage-dayed

It probably helps that part of the "Mostly Catholic" area is the Toronto metropolitan splatter, which will have a rather larger proportion of traditionally Catholic ethnic groups than the rest of the state, and will likely contain more "ethnic Protestants" who identify as non-religious.

Though the map does show Protestants as majority in some aprts of the provinces. I do not doubt that Eastern Ontario is far more Catholic than the rest (witht eh extensive French population), and Toronto does have more Catholics than Protestants, but it is still less than 1/3 of the population, the neighbouring municipalities are fairly similar (1/4 to 1/3 Catholic), except Vaughan, with its majority Catholics, as an Italian centre.
Though I still think the Catholic area in Ontario is much too large. I know that K-W, London, Bruce/Grey counties, most of Southwestern Ontario (generally west of Toronto and South of Georgian Bay) are more protestant, and cities like Barrie north of Toronto, but Idon't know much about the surrounding area.

To be honest, that map gives a very wrong impression in any case, as there is no distinction between places like Quebec, with an ovewhelming majority Catholic, and Toronto, with a slim plurality an only about 1/3.

This map is so very wrong. Not as bad as most, but still.

Hey!! I can tell a decent joke!

Well, I can understand American not getting our sense of humour, seeing as it's so much more subtly nuanced and finely tuned than US humour ;)

And maybe the world is flat. It certainly seems that way to the average bumpkin. :mischief:

Religion map makes Australia look entirely Protestant when Catholics are over 25% of the population and must outnumber the Proddies in some areas (Uniting and Anglican together is about 25%). There should also be Stars of David over Melbourne and Sydney, if there's going to be one in Johannesburg.

Ouch.

Certainly you must be able to explain yourself :)
Teach us the ways of good humor, o wise one.
