A couple of weird things that das should explain: Tver in Africa, Chernigov and Denmark in India.

FWIW, Denmark actually was in India in OTL, at Tranquebar and Serampore.

Ah, sorry, I should have read the reservation list before trying to reserve Tver. I mantain my request for them, just in cause if Shadowbound will play other nations, but I would also request Armenia or the Golden Horde, if possible. I'm requesting two, just in cause if better players are going to request Armenia or the Golden Horde.

If someone could show me where the original post is I can read up and use the appropriate name.

It's called New Arcadia, it's based in Canada, it's one of the fragments of the old British Empire that collapsed during the Fifty Years War of the 18th century, and it's currently been requested by at least Kraznaya and Insane Panda.

That's fair. I tried to stay faithful to what I thought das would have put on the new map, rather than what was on the old map, given how ****ed up Central and Eastern Europe is...

NK: Traditional "fat cross" cities. If I'm going to do this I want to feel as comfy/nostalgic as possible.

To all players, I can say that as of now ONLY the following reservations are confirmed: Dachs as the HRE, NK as Flanders, and Azale as Japan, for the assistance that they've provided with the [not]TL. If you're not the only player applying for your first choice nation, have a second choice in mind.

NK's speed is advancing my start date for the preview thread by one week. Applications will turn to reservations once the preview thread is go. Preview thread will be a showcase for stats, reservation confirmations, let me make last-minute stat changes, and answer any questions before we go to full launch mode. Optimistic ETA for official launch is the 21st.

Things additional to the TL which I need from das:

Important historical figures, leaders and otherwise. (Many of the leaders I'm aware of, more interested in artists, scientists, statesmen, philosophers, etc.)

Althistorical city names. I'll make up some but I need a hefty supply, especially for anything with a language I'm not familiar with (aka non-English or French). For the sake of my sanity I'll assume that city locations/names in India and East Asia are roughly similar to OTL, not including anything Western of course.

Names of battles, and of geographic features that differ from OTL. Languages, and ethnic group distributions that are different from OTL. (Mostly in the Balkans and such.) Rebel groups and dissident movements.

The only fault I can find in the new map is the omission of Flemish Ceylon.

I greatly need a Portugal and an Australia. Applicants for these powers must have the highest possible qualifications. (NK has expressed possible interest in Australia, in that case I'll need a Flanders.) I'm interested in a bit more healthy competition for Tver, France, and Egypt, though some good players have expressed interest. If any more Arcadians wish to throw their hats into the ring, good luck.

Interesting second-tier powers are Mali, Ethiopia, the Qing, and the Argentine Protectorate. The Knights of the Nile and New Albion are very interesting little powers. I'm looking for creative players to take those last two.
