I'll give it a shot if you don't want to. Unless only mods can do it or there's some other restriction that disallows me to.

I'm fine. Just other pressing duties. One of the moderators is expected to do it. Ask Plotinus if you're really interested in doing it.

Key issue, afaik, is that news items for the front page have to be done by moderators.
