Caltech Scientists Find First Physiological Evidence of Brain's Response to Inequalit

You know whether something is fair or not before you really have time to think about it; it's only in the marginal cases where you have to apply some sort of logic or philosophy.

I don't know about that. It seems to me that to translate 'intuition' (probably isn't what this really is) into practice would require quite a bit of thinking and rationalising. Heck, I think that comes even at the stage where you're trying to derive principles for action from such mental states.

Left wing politics asserts that man is altruistic (or can become altruistic) enough for socialist policies to succeed.

Complete baloney.

For others, I expect much handwaving and waffling about how this is meaningless or how it doesn't "prove" anything or how Regan killed Stalin, etc ;)
It's not actually a meme to call him Regan. Maybe you thought it was an in-joke against Americans; it's actually just that stupid people do it by mistake.

There you have it, the debate is over. Science favours Marxism-Leninism.
Where have you been for decades if not longer? Ever heard of Darwin, Nash, etc...?

This study proved what we all know; namely that humans like justice. Nothing about equality.

Justice is fairness? Getting a little Rawlsian, are we? :p

More like :lol:sian if you ask me

I agree. The article mostly mentions inequality, except for one instance of equality.

I believe that most reasonable conceptions of justice are rather intolerant of gross inequality.
