CiVUP - CiV Unofficial Patch

I'll blow my brains out if I'm responsible for my opponent playing on Settler difficulty. To be clear, albie, does it default to Settler at the start, and I have to set it for Emperor, just as I had to hit "human"? I assumed not, because I chose "Emperor" as the game difficulty.

Uploaded a new version to fix the difficulty setting problem, all human players should have the selected level now.

For quick testing, calling the in game menu during a player turn will show the difficulty level for that player (or you can check happiness in first turn)

I just replied to some of this on your thread.

I'm not sure happiness would tell you anything, because I think VEM eliminated the AI bonus there.

In my first game Civ #2 also had +7 culture very early on. I haven't duplicated this, either.

Can I keep playing the same game with the new version of the mod, or do I need to clear the cache and start over?

Sorry, new game for correct difficulty setting.

Where is the movement animation speed on units edited?

I've moved this to the options file for v146. Until then, you can find the values by searching for "MovementRates" in /CiVUP/Core/CiVUP_General.sql.

On a compatibility note, you've removed Palaces from CS capitals ?

Seems that player:GetCapitalCity() return nil for CS with v143

it might be related, but i believe it was an attempt to experience an issue with wb scenarios i've seen since 131 (through 146 and still not sure it's fixed with 147 and up)

Love this mod!

Is there any opportunity I can change these little things?:
a) I´d like to have the "big" interface in the city screen back.
b) I don´t want to have the number of turns till the next tech/policy... in the top bar but like in Vanilla the yields per turn.
c) I´d like to see the plot info above the minimap.

Would be fantastic if you could help me. :)

Did the modders here try to change the Unhapiness per city/per pop of India instead giving a free +1 :c5citizen: per food building? From what I calculated here,if the India's UA is changed to give +66% :c5angry: per city and -40% :c5angry: per pop,it is compensated when the city reached the 5th citizen . If compensating the unhapiness with the 4th citizen isn't overpowered, then it can be changed to +50% :c5angry: per city and -33% :c5angry: per citizen .

a) What do you mean by this?
b) You can see the yield per turn by hovering over the top bar. There's not enough room on the screen for the vanilla yield display.
c) Set "map info delay" to 0 seconds in game options.

@GenjiKhan
Gandhi is one of the best conquerors in vanilla because a happiness bonus is best for militaristic empires. This felt very strange. Peaceful gameplay fits Gandhi better historically, and a food bonus is better for peaceful empires.

that mod is definitely a "must have". You have made a very great work!
I have one question: is there a spreadsheet or something similar that collects the modified characteristics of the game elements?... It is very hard to keep in head all that numerous informations in the middle of a game...

thx for the welcome...
I have read the site....
I meant a printable stuff... a bible to keep in hands while playing...

another question i wanted to post in the translation topic: I saw you credited some guys for french translation, but many parts of the mod are still in english... is it still a WIP, or am I missing some stuff? I don't myself really mind about that, but my wife is allergic to english and it would be sad she can't experience this great enhancement of the game.
(if it is in progress, i think I should spare some time to give my stone to the common work...)

Did you know that the designers made Gandhi a wild-card nuke thrower on purpose? Given the amount of warring in India's history and its current nuclear capability, it made a certain amount of sense. But I think it was done for fun more than any other reason.

Since civ5 is one leader per civ it's easy to see it as the leader = the civ, but I think the civs should represent the larger history of that civ and the leaders fit themselves.
