See, the whole point of that scripture, was to highlight that Jesus himself was a perfect being, free from all sin. That wouldn't happen, for too many reasons to enumerate. However, what I will say is that putting your impossible hypothetical aside... that question itself is so you... in that it presumes that everyone thinks as you do, ie respond to criticism with deflection, blame-shifting and whataboutism.

So to respond to the real point of your question generally, if someone criticized me for doing something "wrong" and they were correct, I would acknowledge that I'd done something wrong and apologize, period.

Reminds me of something I read about the Indonesian(? - it's been a while, not sure) Prime Minister. Apparently in the 60's, the Soviet intelligence services set him up in a classic honey pot trap and recorded him having sex with Russian prostitutes. They threatened to release the tapes in order to get him to acquiesce to whatever it was that they wanted of him.

He practically jumped for joy when he found out about the tapes and asked for copies. He also urged them to release them to the public as he was sure it would make the legend of his sexual prowess grow exponentially and make him even more popular with voters.

Trump is threatening to veto the COVID relief bill, which will have the side-effect of causing a government shutdown. He is now claiming that his veto is because he wants the stimulus checks to be $2,000 instead of $600, whereas before he was threatening to veto it over the repeal of section 230, which would give him revenge on social media over censoring his posts.

The Democrats actually favor the $2,000 checks, but Republicans are adamantly opposed. For reference, $2,000 to every adult in the US would be about $500 billion, whereas $600 to every adult would be about $150 billion. The current relief package that passed through Congress is $900 billion.

Congress may actually have the votes to override his veto, which would be a fitting bookend to 2020.

In any case, he has until midnight to decide.

I'd like to just put it out there - Congress can easily impeach Trump, still. It's something the representatives should remember. Pence can do the transition. And forcing Biden to return all of his '46' paraphernalia is worth it.

He's always feeling ignored... his need for attention is a bottomless black hole that can never be filled. That's why I think its a foregone conclusion that he runs for President again and/or buys/creates his own "news" network. Now that he has tasted the nonstop spotlight, he will never be able to give it up.
