I am afraid I have to claim "naiv" on the use of generalisations. Goverment organsies the go ahead for insrastructure yes? And your taking goverment to mean all goverments. Franch seems to have a effecient goverment. The Royal Mail in Britian does it job. Civil servants allow effeicent management. And if am not mistaken is not the armed forces employed by the goverment? Do not presume that all is of the public sector is dirt in work, just as the private sector is this solution to everything the right wing fanatics keep claiming. After all the army are doing a good job in serving in the Olympics. G4S on the other hand...

All systems can be exploited though, so the "elimates all the known fraud, waste and abuse" can be... problamatic as there is always to be a unknown.

The abuse of welfare is caused by a vocal minority. You will find the media likes bad news above goods news and like to... exploit this. This is especilly in forms of the Daily Mail (or Dailly Fail in accurate naming) in Britian and the many tools of the Murdoch Empire.

Also you lived on welfare? It... is not a palace sum. In Britian the only reason why it is worth more to not work then work for the high end of the working class and the poor end of the middle class is due to the Conserative's "tax reform" plans. They are the ones who are cutting taxes only for the very rich while the rest have to suffer.
