Spring 1901
NORWEGIAN NAVY LOOKING TO PLUG HOLES
The Norwegian navy is questioning its structure after a major ship movement from Sweden into the Baltic was leaked to all of Europe by an unknown source. Germany tried to prevent this move, however the Norwegians, obviously expecting some problems, had enough ships to force the Germans to retreat. This has sparked an international incident, though it is unknown whether the German movement will lead to war or not. At the time the German naval movement was ordered, the Kaiser was ill and a temporary regent ordered the move instead.
BALKANS INVADED
The sovereign Balkan nations of Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, and Rumania have all been invaded and conquered by a coalition of Russia, Austria, and Turkey. Tensions have been rising between these three nations as the fate of Greece is currently unknown. Turkey, Italy, and Austria are all poised to invade Greece. As well, a Turkish fleet in the Black Sea worrying the Russian population of Sevastopol.
REBELLIONS PUT DOWN
Spain and France both put down all dissent inside their lands by occupying the rebelling Catalonia, Navarre, Gascony, Burgundy, and Picardy. Now that the internal problems are resolved, the foreign policies of the two nations are drawn into question.
RUSSIAN-GERMAN TENSIONS GROWING
The Germans and Russians seem to be on the verge of an all-out war as tensions are rising following a Russian invasion of the rebelling German province of Silesia. Russia claimed that with a substantial Slavic population it was rebelling to join Russia's Slavic Empire, however Germany mobilized troops from Berlin and Munich to counterattack the Russians, and put down the rebellions there. The fate of rebelling Prussia is unknown. Whether or not this fight will escalate into anything more remains to be determined.
ENGLISH MOVE NORTH
The Royal Navy has set sail to the Northeast, worrying Norwegian citizens over whether or not they will be invaded. An English Admiral has assured us that no harm is intended by this gesture, and there is speculation that they will be sailing towards Ireland, potentially diffusing the situation.
