Spring 1901

NORWEGIAN NAVY LOOKING TO PLUG HOLES
The Norwegian navy is questioning its structure after a major ship movement from Sweden into the Baltic was leaked to all of Europe by an unknown source. Germany tried to prevent this move, however the Norwegians, obviously expecting some problems, had enough ships to force the Germans to retreat. This has sparked an international incident, though it is unknown whether the German movement will lead to war or not. At the time the German naval movement was ordered, the Kaiser was ill and a temporary regent ordered the move instead.

BALKANS INVADED
The sovereign Balkan nations of Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, and Rumania have all been invaded and conquered by a coalition of Russia, Austria, and Turkey. Tensions have been rising between these three nations as the fate of Greece is currently unknown. Turkey, Italy, and Austria are all poised to invade Greece. As well, a Turkish fleet in the Black Sea worrying the Russian population of Sevastopol.

REBELLIONS PUT DOWN
Spain and France both put down all dissent inside their lands by occupying the rebelling Catalonia, Navarre, Gascony, Burgundy, and Picardy. Now that the internal problems are resolved, the foreign policies of the two nations are drawn into question.

RUSSIAN-GERMAN TENSIONS GROWING
The Germans and Russians seem to be on the verge of an all-out war as tensions are rising following a Russian invasion of the rebelling German province of Silesia. Russia claimed that with a substantial Slavic population it was rebelling to join Russia's Slavic Empire, however Germany mobilized troops from Berlin and Munich to counterattack the Russians, and put down the rebellions there. The fate of rebelling Prussia is unknown. Whether or not this fight will escalate into anything more remains to be determined.

ENGLISH MOVE NORTH
The Royal Navy has set sail to the Northeast, worrying Norwegian citizens over whether or not they will be invaded. An English Admiral has assured us that no harm is intended by this gesture, and there is speculation that they will be sailing towards Ireland, potentially diffusing the situation.

OFFENSES:

Please, when supporting, SPECIFY WHO IS SUPPORTING WHAT TO WHERE

Give me orders for all units, even those holding

If you send a modified set of orders, please CHANGE SOMETHING. I do not want 2 pms with the same orders.

NOTES: Amon Savag has not logged in in 4 days, so Germany was temporarily played by Dachspmg

I am going away Thursday morning. So I would like to do Fall 1901 Tuesday night, and the builds (should not take much time for orders) on Wednesday, leaving the Spring 1902 orders due Sunday when I get back. If that is a problem, please let me know soon, however that is the plan as of now.

you can be a backup. germany might need you, IDK.

DarthNader, if you like I'll drop Russia and let you have it.

Guys, I'm sorry. I'm back as Germany. It's hard after so long to get back into the groove of checking on the forums on a daily basis. You can count on me, from hereon, on a daily basis.

And a special thanks to dachspmg for sending orders for my NMR. Thank you very much.

How did you get more units than you had already again? Ie, how do you train new soldiers and construct new boats?

The game is divided into a cycle of Spring and Fall turns. After a Fall turn is a Winter turn, where the number of units of each power is adjusted to equal the number of supply centres. A power can only build units in their home supply centres, though.

Thanks. And what about the two maps shown in the update - are the 'revolting' countries not permanently a part of our nation? Will they not remain under our control if we move units out?

Non-supply centres are useless- the reason we don't start off owning them is becuase technically they cannot be owed.

Since supply centres are taken in the fall, j_eps and others sometimes rule that non-supply centres taken in the fall also change hands.

So supply centers are taken control of in the fall, and non-supply centers are never taken control of? And last question, can you move during a winter turn?

No, you can't.

Several questions about the interactions of fleets and armies...

1) Can an army attack a fleet in an adjacent sea or ocean space?
2) Can an army support the movement of a fleet into a sea or ocean space, assuming that it is properly located?

I've never exactly had to worry about this before, but it seems somewhat important at the moment...

Norway intends to take Prussia this turn. Those of you for whom this is a concern have already been contacted. The rest of you may be at ease, for we shall not be taking any actions against other established nations, only against various rebels.

1) No, army can only move on ground provinces.
2) Once again, they can only support land operations.
