This is slightly off topic, but instead of naming Zeb's sheep Dolly, it should be named Shaun. (Can you guess where I got that from).

Scratches Head....

takes a Wild Guess.....

Shaun of the Dead?

Am I right?

The sheep off of Wallace and Gromit was what I meant, although Shaun of the Dead makes since...

ok tech problem >>>the zip files where damiged ok so i re installed them but it still says they are damiged!!! What the hell is happing!!! I WANT TO PLAY THIS!!!

it looks great by the way

The zips are fine I just tested them. It could be a problem with your network connection which is corrupting the file during download. Try downloading the file again.

I don't think I'd played this one since the original version way back when, but I just got round to it and it devoured two evenings. This is fantastic, and certainly more involved than the first version, which was fine to begin with. An original new spin on Civ that really works, and so many clever ideas in there.

I notice that people have been saying that the Zombies are too powerful - I have to say that they seem less powerful than they were to begin with, and in fact I won (as the Survivors) without too much difficulty. First I tried a game on 15 and wiped the Zombies out entirely, and then I tried one on 18 and won without enormous problems (although poor, poor Mr Tokugawa met his fate in heroic but hideous fashion - lucky Our Hero was keeping a close eye on his daughter...).

My only complaint is that the rate of tech advance is very slow. It would be nice to progress more quickly, perhaps with more techs along the way...

So now I need to make it more difficult

I take your point about tech advance. My opinion is that too many techs too quickly can swamp the player. If tech progression is really fast I (personally) can stop caring about tech choices and chomp through the Science Adviser screen on auto-pilot.

I want the action to be fast paced of course but I also want the player to have "time" to think more strategically (silly thing to say of course in a turn based game).

I think you've gotten too good at Civ Plot ;) I found Rood very challenging so perhaps you are just better at Civ than me ;)

Currently playing this again but in NY this time. Authority. Damn these paradrop zombies ! Were they in Paradise Island too ? I never saw them before and they captured a few of my undefended bases.

No they are just a sick twist I put in to keep folks on their toes.

Well, it screwed my original plan : 99% of the military units on the bridges and then keep pushing. ;) It's rather 90% on the front (and almost 80% of that in two locations) and 10% behind now. ;)

Getting too good at Civ? Not after a few games as the Company!

Much harder. They have a real challenge in that all the nearby Zombie properties have got king units in, making it very hard to capture them - also, they have worse terrain than the Survivors, which means their properties stay at pop 1 and it's hard to make much money. Quite a challenge!

It would be great to have some pedia entries for the Director, the Head of Security, and so on - loved the Natasha one! Genetic enhancements indeed. I'm sure that some scary pedia entries could be created for the Zombie king units too.

Just noticed that I seem to be in the scenario as a lurching abomination of rotting flesh. How did you know?

Yes they are a challenge but they have their 'Space Race' victory condition.

I tend to rely on Goblin Fanatic for the pedia descriptions these days. He's responsible for Natasha's entry.

HaHa. Take it as the compliment it was intended ;) Much better to be a shambling undead one than a survivor.
