OOC Response from summer court in response to Tyrs proposal.

While some may think that his offer is fair, it would be against character to ever accept or even offer it. He offers part of land for summer court.

Imagine this scenario. Year is 1936 and Republic of Spain is fighting civil war against Franco's nationalists. And then republicans offer him peace where he would get a part of lands in some remote colony, somewhere in Africa, where he would be able to rule as he pleases. And to it as a vassal of Republic. Does anyone see something wrong with this?

This is type of rebellion that can only be solved with fundamental reforms on government level. If such peace would ever be accepted, new state would exist only to plot against Svart and to seek to destroy them at first opportunity.

Maybe the people who thought it was a fair deal knew that and they are very machiavellian.

just questions:

- it's possible to declare state bankruptcy?
- it's possible to make leader retire and throne i.e. Os-Gabella ?

I think you have more assets worth seizing then you do loans. Sure is a lot of marble in your buildings and roads :P

I have no problem yet ... all expenses are subtracted from income, so no problem ... (: (I already have paid 2/3 of loan)

I was mostly teasing you; the image of debtors pulling up your roads stone by stone was probably funnier to me than to you.

Not that my opinion means anything, but I'd think it'd be tough for the Grigori to chance leaders... Cassiel kind of defines their civ. Just my two cents.

That's why I said depends. Though switching leader to explain more or less radical policy shift is welcome. Or switching to militaristic leader to boost troops etc.

Bankruptcy removes debt but would cause all kind of troubles. Depending on the reason, maybe to NPCing civ. Either way, building, road and farm concessions would be sold, trade suffered, stability lost.

It would be cool if you could post something like this for power or culture or something.

I can, assuming no one will object revealing such info (Civ X may be threatening some other civ and then I reveal that civ X has crappy army)

Hmmmm... true.
Bad idea then. Or maybe just don't do 'power rating'. Do culture, most advanced or something... maybe thats a bad idea too.

Thanks for your interests guys. But I've returned from reunion with my high-school class (We've been outside civilization, that's why i haven't replied), got a insomnia-attack from Thursday to Friday, I'm gnashing my teeth over the results of election in my country and seemingly I'm sucking into some RL issues.....I'm pretty groggy. I've read what happened (And I was expecting) I have some preplans......So take a glass of a warm milk and wait for tomorrow. And stop spamming this topic, please.

(Checking the Czech elections)
I have few friends in Czech Republic, including one of my high school friend, I wonder what happened.
And what will happen to our Czech tourists :p

Ok, NOW stop spamming :p

Heh, yeah I realize that offer was a little absurd. I didn't expect it to be accepted, at all. I just need to look like less of an evil dictator...

Immac contacted me, and just to clarify:
Report said:
Also, a few militarists are prominent, gathering themselves around semi-secret society with still unknown agenda, known as Mithril Guards.

Just so that there isn't any confusion:

Mithril Guard are not in any particular way related to Order. They are a semi-secret society (they do not try to keep their membership secret, but what they do, what is their agenda and how are they organized is unknown)

Their members are pro-militaristic people. They seek to expand Amurites and they did complain when you sold your lands. They endorse strong central government and strong national army. Some of the Mithril Guard are famous generals that fought for Valledia in civil war, and there are also some who fought for Cassel.
