Fall From Heaven NES

I already got mine...

Well, I can send em as soon as I update. But it is kind of tiresome job :p and they are always similar to last turn ones, + new income, + report update :p

@ everyone- Send me mail if you need stats and I'll reply, easier for me than to go through dozens of mail addresses.

Who else from players have ICQ or Jabber?? (For quicker messag... - sorry, I mean to say quicker diplomacy :D )

And can you all put in your sig as who you're playing ? I'm quite getting lost... :D

Who will help me up?
Where's the helping hand?
Will you turn on me?
Is this my final stand?

So much have happened. And way more will happen. Before I will start writing IC texts, I have some words to say.

First, good update Jopa. These things were expected. Kudos for the "Mandate of Heavens". But I have few comments.
Everyone assumed they are harmless folk, ready to be conquered latter, when the time is right, like flocks of sheeps...
In other lands maybe. Kuriotates looked for peace and cooperation.

This entry needs expanding. Do you have any other IM than the microsoft thing? ICQ, AIM, Jabber?

Affairs on East
Sorry, but could you explain me more carefully what happened? Who attacked first? Have Viconia Replied to Tyrs's offer? And is any info about Faeryll II available?

Kandros Fir realises that funding other nations to help preserve or improve their culture.
In an act of friendship towards the Kuriotates, I will therefore strive to imitate them by funding the Hippus culture, which looks so intriguing with all its horses gallopping around the vast Kuriotate plains, villages and cities. I'll gladly help them preserve their ancestral culture where land was barren of villages and spread it to the Kuriotate lands.
I am sure Cardith Lorca will appreciate this effort to promote some of the less well-known cultures of Erebus.

This is the one of the most brilliant responses I've read. If Jopa somewhat honours good replies, I hope He bless you with thousand sons!
(But I think you are little mistaken in the nature of Criers)

Also, to stop the confusion Cardith Lorda has never (yet) styled himself as god. I Haven't do it and there is no signs of this in civilopedia. (But I've found that "Cardith Lorda was ....fighitng with barbarians...." damnn)

And merciary, could you response to my PM or give some IM contact? I have something to say to you....

OOC: I've just tried to see if I could stir some religious unrest in your land thanks to the fact your government is God king. But indeed the civilopedia is not very talkative about the god king civics.

I know that there were some god kings on Erebus, but mostly powerful mages with 'pagan' religion and personality cults. Nation following one of 21 gods cant really have god king.

Tyrs assassinated first, and was sort of discovered. And attacked summer court, as expected, and this ended in a draw, due to Luchuir support of Summer court

EDIT:

While some may think that his offer is fair, it would be against character to ever accept or even offer it. He offers part of land for summer court.

Imagine this scenario. Year is 1936 and Republic of Spain is fighting civil war against Franco's nationalists. And then republicans offer him peace where he would get a part of lands in some remote colony, somewhere in Africa, where he would be able to rule as he pleases. And to it as a vassal of Republic. Does anyone see something wrong with this?

This is type of rebellion that can only be solved with fundamental reforms on government level. If such peace would ever be accepted, new state would exist only to plot against Svart and to seek to destroy them at first opportunity.

Well, Cadrith lorda signature was. At least when you compared it with perp's signature.

Also, Kuriotate government is much more Enlighten absolutism" But because I've thought that we should choose "All familiar ones" from the FfH civic menu.

Vyra the Sorceress, Tyrant of Winter Court

You are so rash and reckless in your youth, Moonchild. You should be dancing under the stars, enjoy the life and don't be bothered by the worries of adult's world, Sweet one. Could the forests offer too little for you hunger? Why have you traded the trees for marble halls?

You haven't listened to my advices. When I counselled you to be calm and patient, You have sent your troops against summer court. And before that, you have accused me from malice and plotting against you. I've chosen to let it go in good faith in you, wise and pitiful Queen of Svartalfar. I hoped for friendship between us. Badly I've been mistaken. Charmed by your generous offer, I've seen things that were not there.

But who is more foolish? A fool or a one who trusts the fool? The days of mirages are over and we must face the light. You are not wise, you are not benevolent, you are not The leader of Svartalfar.

With a grief in His Heart
Cardith Lorda, Emperor of Kuriotates

From: Lord Agron
To: Svartalfar, Lanun

Long has the power in thius world been centred in the west, the Balseraph and Kuriotates have always been the strongest and most advanced of us. They look down on us as barbarians, children, and fools. This must change! In recent times we have seen the Kuriotates medling and interferance in the affairs of the Kazad and Svartalfar, previously in the Grigori and Amurites too, they see themselves as the model of civilization, that all others should strive to achieve. Why? What do they have that we do not? How can they claim to be our betters? Greater then the Calabim Aristocracy and Svartalfar Queen? Thay are nothing but fools! Now they will surely see their errors and be punished like they rightfully should. The tides of power will change! They must change! It is time for the East to rule Erebus!

However, if the East is to achieve it's rightful position we mut unite against our so-called betters. We must form a union so strong that the West will cower and trach our every move. We must unite to finally compete militarilly, financially and tecnologically with the old powers, and become like the breaking dawn, as the world turns from darkness into light, night into day.

Yet the East faces porblems of its own, problems that must be solved for the good of Eastern Stability. The Summer Court, the Wheat plains, these must be solved and together we will solve them!

If we are to ever be strong, we can only hope to do it together. A union of trade, politics, and military will make us strong!

I hope you will consider my offer.

Best Regards,

Lord Agron, Internal Affairs and Personal Advisor to her magesty, the Queen Alexis, may she live forever.

Note 1: Heh, it is true that West was/is more active in affairs. I want to see more activities and diplomacy from the East Side, not just 'send X trade routes here and trade tech Y to Z'. !!!!! :D

Note 2: Under Captain Matthias Lanun were right in the middle between East and West, it is entirely up to Karimir to decide where will they head.

Note 3: Also, world wraps, remember.

I'd like to update first post with brief, in-character history of your nations. I did so for the Amurites, as I staged their civil war, expanding on the Thomas' original story.

History: Dain was, for a time, the most powerful of the Amurite mages. But Power breeds envy, and envy, in the right mind, usually leads to a change in rulership. And so, Thomas, envoking the right of all of the Magical order, challenged Dain the Caswallen to a great Magical Duel. Dain would, normally, have no problem defeating even a first level mage like Thomas... but Thomas had called on greater forces. The secret teachings of Ceridwen had given Thomas enough power to destroy Dain... but at what cost?

This event started an era in the Amurite history called 'The Interregnum'. Thomas introduced a harsh, corrupt tyranny, mercilessly slaying all those who would oppose, dipping into foul research of demonology and necromancy, oppressing the masses and, rumors say, even attempting to summon Infernals to Erebus.

After sudden death of Thomas the Caswallen and ascension of Tyrion the Caswallen in his place, two factions, those of Order seeking Theocracy led by Cassel and Republican one led by Valledia, defeated the Ashen Veil opposition. Instead of continuing the war between themselves, reason prevailed and two factions reached an agreement. Republic was set up, Order was new state religion, Veil practice was forbidden, aristocracy was abolished and all people became equal before the law. All wealthy became included in political life, not only mages. The truce is fragile, however, and manyare unhappy - peasants are exhausted by war and furious that they can't vote once again, priests and followers of Order want Theocracy and seek to abolish all necromancy practices, mages are furious at their loss of privileges, and some still plotting for the return of old regime... They all struggle for power in new regime. Incidentally, many peasants are willing to thrust the power to the priests leading them...

I'd like if you do this for your civs... :p

Kandros Fir had led the Khazad out of the underhome. Because of his different with his former friend, King Arturus Thorne, Kandros convinced the dwarves that new land ment new rules, and had them adopt the Khazad Republic.
Kandros was naturally elected a leader, thanks to the gold he had been the first to find outdoors. Gold was even better on the surface than below, as it shone even more under sunlight than at torchlight. Now, all Kandros had to do to retain power was to make sure he had more gold than his rival Arturus, or any other dwarf out there.

Kandros founded the city of Khazak, and later Hallowell, which hosted the first Somnium tournament.
Dwarven lands were surrounded by orcish barbarians, and Kandros sent his armies south to pacify the desert and signed a treaty with the Malakim who lived there. Later, Riylod was founded in the north, and Khazad turned to another menace, trying to secure their lands at the cost of a less developped economy: The Grindstone Plains orcs, who were vanquished after bloody fights, but the Kuriotates, who claimed this land for themselves, attacked Khazad with the help of some Grigori militia, thereby occupying Khazad lands.

This is what I was hoping for. Anyway I'll wait for the epilogue of this war/chapter before 'writing history'

Bear in mind, I don't really know what exactly Marksman did before I came along...

The Lanun have been the rulers of the northern seas ever since their appearence on Erebus. Under the rule of Captain Matthias and the Captain's Assembly the Lanun became a true world power. However, even the mighty fall - and in Erebus the mighty fall even faster and further. A newcomer, Captain Karimir, staged a coup to grasp power from the Assembly, turning the former rulers into nothing more than a advisory council.

Now that the new High Captain has dealt with his internal affairs, he has turned his gaze outward to influence the rest of the world. The Lanun sit on the crossroads between East and West, Good and Evil; the question is which path to take?

I hope that helps, Jopa.

Note 2: Under Captain Matthias Lanun were right in the middle between East and West, it is entirely up to Karimir to decide where will they head.

I like this.... :shifty:

Where do I fall under this East/West division? I mean I'm pretty much the center of the map.

Edit: I'll come up with a story later. I've got a midterm today so not much time.
